St Georges is a popular church, with people coming in and out throughout the day from a wide variety of walks of life, from business people to workmen and everything in between.
It’s not the biggest or most ornate, but it’s pretty enough, and when I was there, the organist was playing so it was very atmospheric.
A great place to pop in and reflect, especially after dealing with the frantic shoppers all around the area.

This beautiful church served as the wonderful venue for a Downton Abbey charity event to raise money for Tomorrow’s People. As a big Downton Abbey fan, I couldn’t pass up on this opportunity. The church was perfect. Lovely accoustics for choral singing, a well organized wine and mince pie reception, and it was easy for us to come meet the cast afterwards. Thanks St Georges, for hosting!
