Stanza

The service was very hit and miss. We had to wait to order, wait for our drinks, and the waiter didn’t know anything we asked him. The hostess was great, but the regular waiter forgot us all the time. The food was well cooked, especially the lamb and the apple tarte tatin. Small but well combined menu. Nice atmosphere with a lot people at the bar etc. Great for drinks, but if you want good service, stay away…

I like Stanza, aside from its stylish interior it offers unpretentious class in the midst of a very tourist driven location. The staff are friendly, the drinks are good and though i’ve only ever has finger food there, the food is pretty good too. Its a nice pre-​party place. The DJ can be a little on the unoriginal side and on Fridays the after work crowd is a little corny but overall its a decent venue.

From the ashes of Teatro’s come’s stanza, a beautiful venue right on Shaftesbury Avenue.
Popular with the pre and post theatre crowd, Stanza is a little pricey but the standard of service throughout is impeccable.
The bar area is large with a huge array od drinks available and a good wine menu. The staff are attentive and friendly and they make some of the best cocktails in central London.
There is a large food menu though i’d have to take the words of friends when they say that it is great as I’ll admit i’ve never dined.
Weekends the venue is very popular with an affluent crowd.
If you’re looking for a central location for that big date or for a drink before a big show I’d definately recommend this venue as it looks superb and the service is top-​class.
