Starbucks

My Favourite Starbucks, staff always friendly and a nice place to relax before or after a busy day.

This Starbucks has been seriously improved by the renovation. They’ve opened up a lot of seating space upstairs, whereas before there was always a bit of a skirmish for space, and tables were jammed together. The redecoration is nice too. I always find the staff friendly.

It’s a Starbucks. Pretty standard in my experience.
Lots of staff on for a busy time period, orders were taken quickly, my order was right, AND they actually got my name right. Impressive combination.

I agree with the woman above!!! This wasn’t my lovely, warm, normal Starbucks experience. They tried to charge me extra for whipped cream in my frap!!! Are you fxxking kidding me??! That’s never happened to me in a Starbucks before. Ever. Ever.

A coffee place that is a Starbucks, but it isn’t.
It sells Starbucks fare, and charges Starbucks prices, but it refuses to accept starbucks coupons or the starbucks rewards card. Apparently they’re «a franchise» as they kept repeating, but they’re «starbucks». I’m not sure this best-​of-​both-​worlds mentality is legitimate, and I will be following up with Starbucks head offices.
Them refusing to accept my card and the starbucks-​provided 50p off coupon cost me 80p more than it should have. (My shot of syrup should’ve been free with the card, but of course it wasn’t)
Also, they handed me a Latte that was just a wee bit more than half full (as opposed to completely full) which was disappointing.
I’m hoping the lady at the till was distracted, because I was almost short-​changed by £10, too! Once I mentioned it, of course, there was no problem in getting it, thankfully :)
Not somewhere I’ll ever be getting coffee from again. Plus the muffins were super cold due to the shop being on the platform and everything being cold. Definitely NOT worth the money… Unless you’re desperate for a simple cuppa on your way to work.
