My last visit here was years ago and wasn’t that memorable. Perhaps second time lucky? Came here on a Thursday eve with a party of 15 gals. The deep red painted walls are filled gold framed mirrors and photos, giving a cosy atmosphere. The restaurant was almost empty, which was good as we were very loud! The staff were friendly and attentive, although there was the occasional lapse of memory when requests were made for dressings or drinks. I started with avocado, tomatoes and mozzarella. It needed extra dressing — requested olive oil but it never arrived. I followed with sea bass and artichoke — the fish was surprisingly fresh. Finished with Lemon Tart and raspberry sorbet. — The tart tasted as if it had been pre-made and the sorbet was sweet, but nice. Group wine choice was Rioja @ £22.90, which I felt was a bit steep. My cut of the bill came to £28.00, which I guess wasnt too bad. All in all, it was an OK choice for a group do, but I it’s not going on my bookmark list.
