As a huge fan of Tesco, I found this location rather disappointing and very small. This is not the Tesco grocery store you are used to. This is truly a convenience store offering the bare necessities like candy, water, boxed sandwiches, etc. I came in for lozenges/cough drops and did not find them until I was already done paying. They are at the registers. Nonetheless, this trip was a lifesaver. The first go around was for a basket full of Cadbury chocolate to be brought back to the states for gifts. The second loop was for my honey and lemon Lockets. The line for the registers wraps around the whole store but moves faster than you can count the loose quid and pence in your pocket.

Tiny, even for an express. You end up feeling a bit claustrophobic and the route to the till is abit cumbersome. Having said that it’s amazing how much they manage to fit into such a small shop and the location doesn’t get much more central!

Awesome little corner shoppe in the heart of Trafalgar Square — perfect for getting a quick sandwich or some crisps for your on the go exploring of London! I didn’t see any horse meat here, but I wasn’t going to take my chances! However, they do have some small groceries that make your hotel room that much nicer. All in all, very convenient and very good customer service!

Basic, claustrophobic and packed of things you might need.

Total horrible. the tiniest Express I ever been to and they have absolutely nothing on the shelves. If I could give it zero marks I would!

Helpful if you just need either eggs, wine, frozen pizza, bread, donuts, or some ready-made food. Thats pretty much all they have. Otherwise, the much larger Tesco metro is only 5 blocks away and must better. Also, they card for alcohol.

Be very careful with the change when going in there. Twice been there twice the clerk forgot 5 pounds.

«Last night a TESCO saved my life…» Ok, ok, so it’s DJ in that line, but I felt that way many a night staying in Trafalgar Square. A Ribena, Fanta, Kinder Eggs, Mars Planets, or even a Krispy Kreme as a late night snack can be easily obtained! It may be busy and packed, but the wait is worth it!

Being tourists, we really appreciated the Tesco Grab a morning Paper, Milk for coffee /tea, Crisps, that Cadbury /Dairy Milk we absolutely *need*…or Aspirin to alleviate the previous night’s pub indulgence Really close to our hotel, open all hours & had a little bit of everything — couldn’t ask for more!

It is one of those awful Tesco, convenience, metro thingy ma jiggies. I hate these stores because it is full of pre-packed, processed crap. Although to be far this one works. It’s location right on Trafalgar Square and its 24hour license means the thousands of hungry late night revellers can grab a fairly priced snack for the journey home. For some reason going to a supermarket feels healthier than popping into your local McDonalds. So fair play Tesco, I’ll give you this one.
