The best food in East Dulwich, not to mention BYOB! Pad Thai is fantastic as are mant of the currys I’ve tried. Whenever a visitor comes by my way this place is my go-to! Make a reservation, it can be difficult to get a table at times.

Love this place, low key friendly atmosphere. It gets really busy because the food is so good. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have vegan options but you have to ask. They will talk you through what they can offer. It would be so good if they could offer a vegan curry. Maybe in time! Delicious and warming. Also it’s bring your own booze which makes it more affordable

Been going here for years now, and the food is always excellent. I’m a huge fan of the duck massaman curry with coconut rice, but the pad thai and yum pak salad are also frequently on our table! Inside is quite small, and it gets extremely busy, but the staff are very friendly and it gets a nice community vibe. The food is reasonably priced(and its byob), so it’s definitely worth booking… But then again they also do takeaway, which is almost always delivered quickly! (Side note… If you’re eating in the restaurant, make sure you’ve got cash as they don’t take cards!)

It can be hard to get a table but it’s worth the wait. The restaurant is justoff Lordship Lane so there are plenty of pubs and bars to hang out in before hand if you’re queuing for a table. Take out is also a great option as the restaurant works pretty quickly, you just have to make sure you have cash as the restaurant is not registered on just eat or hungry house. The dishes are great value for money. My all time favourites are the massaman and yellow curry with coconut rice. Pad thai and pad see eew are amongst the best I’ve had in London. A diverse menu that would please a big group. They also have a selection of delectable starters and tasty salads that will make sure you don’t leave hungry. They also allow bring your own so it’s a great cheap and cheerful night out catching up wih friends.

Quirky little joint which is a hit with the local east Dulwich crew, book to avoid disappointment. No frills or whistles just well cooked authentic thai food served through steaming hot windows all year round. It was BYO when i visited — not too sure if this has changed. Massaman curry was perfectly cooked with lamb falling apart, nice amount of chilli and there Green curry is also top notch. Highly recommend as a intimate, low key meal before hitting Lordship lane for a few drinks

Great food but too noisy and too hot. Spoilt the evening. Next time we’ll get a takeaway!

This is an excellent little Thai restaurant with a good menu, and suprisingly for E Dulwich is a BYO. I would strongly recommend booking as space is very limited. I will be returning soon.

I’ve yet to eat inside. There always looks to be space in the week, but you’ll need a reservation Friday and Saturday. I have had the take away option and the food was freshly made and very good value. I was disappointed with the Pad Thai, but it was still good. The tung tong starter pastries were delicious. FYI. As its BYOB it can get quite noisy with large young groups. I would avoid if I was a couple at the weekend. Will definitely be returning soon.

This is my new favourite Thai spot in East Dulwich. The food is excellent, prices are reasonable and you can bring your own bottle, which is quite unusual for this part of London. You at have to wait for a table as it gets quite busy but it is worth it.

I just wanted to add my vote to this great Thai restaurant. The food is very good, and the prices are very reasonable for London. It does have a cozy and friendly atmosphere. I just wanted to clarify a few points that were raised above but not fully discussed: 1) This restaurant does NOT serve any alcohol at all. Consequently, they do allow you to bring your own wine(which is great for saving money). So be sure to stop into one of the local shops on your way there and buy a bottle of wine. 2) Space is VERY limited. The restaurant is basically the dining room of an old house that’s been converted into a restaurant. So it can get very crowded. Be sure to call first and make a reservation. I’ve seen people waiting outside this place for 30 – 40 minutes to get a table otherwise, and the first thing the waiter asks to in-coming customers is «Do you have a reservation?» And it can get crowded on week-days as well as weekends.

Delicious Thai food, not too expensive, well worth the trek into deeper darker Southeast London! Third on my list of favourite Thai restaurants.(Busaba is 1st, Thai Buffalo in Balham is 2nd). Oh and they let you take your own wine — saves on money!

The food is delicious and the prices reasonable. Try to avoid going too late on a Friday or Saturday night as this is a very popular restaurant.

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and me and my boyfriend unexpectedly stumbled upon this quaint Thai café in the quiet part of North Cross Road; the location gave it a quirky appeal, with it being away from the hustle and bustle of the main road where you’ll find a parade of all the other restaurants, so we thought ‘quick coffee?’ The place had a modest charm; it was like walking into someone’s living room. We were greeted by a young Thai man with a massive smile, who showed us to our table. The décor seemed true to the place without any tacky pretentiousness. The large windows let in lots of daylight, which counteracts the fact that the place itself is quite small, also adding to how inviting it looks in the evening with all the soft lighting and lively atmosphere. We decided to stay for lunch; the welcoming service and cosy ambience appealed to us which spurred us on to try the food. I opted for the glass noodle salad and a Thai red curry. The salad was undeniably awesome! Very unique dish with fragrant, ingredients and just the right amount of chilli to give it a distinct kick. I had not tried glass noodles before but I found that they complimented the light refreshing flavours well. I must admit the curry was quite average, but enjoyable nonetheless. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was balanced with just the right amount of coconut, chilli and Thai spices which the aubergine did a good job of soaking up. Yes some of the dishes are, as I say, ‘average’, but what makes up for this is that they have been kept authentic with no western influence, and why should there be?! I’ve been back many times and notice that it’s packed nearly every night so booking a table is a must, and remember to bring your own wine! I hope the place keeps its unpretentious nature; avoiding any opportunity to overcomplicate the menu or overdo the décor. It’s a pleasant alternative to the Thai place on the main road, which is very nice, but twice as expensive and definitely not as charming. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a simple, reasonably priced Thai meal accompanied by a warm, relaxed atmosphere which is sure to leave you pleasantly greeted on arrival and completely satisfied upon departure.

Here’s a restaurant that epitomises down to earth and homely, perfect for intimate romantic evenings or tete a tetes with close friends. The food is lovely, the service is always good and, though it’s not very spacious and any large rowdy groups tend to dominate(yes, Dominic/Charlie/Tarquin we can hear everything), the bargainous prices and chance to bring your own booze for a smallish corkage fee make up for most shortcomings. It can get really busy so it’s definitely worth calling to check there’s room before heading out, or if you’re really organised just book a table. The location is nice too, set back from the bright lights of Lordship Lane, so if you want to give the hustle and bustle a miss Thai Corner Café is the perfect place to keep it real.

Fantastic food, nice intimate restaurant, fast service. And you can take your own drinks in which makes it really cheap. Just a small charge per bottle etc. Would recommend as a great thai for the area!

This is a wonderful thai restaurant/café, although I’m never quite sure when it’s open. It’s tiny and popular, so booking is a must. I have never been disappointed by the food here, and it’s run by thai people so you know it’s the genuine stuff! Very cosy, which sometimes makes it a bit of an uncomfortable evening, and you can’t stay longer than two hours — but it’s worth it! They also do take-away which is always a godo option if you forget or are too late to book. They don’t serve wine, but you can bring your own bottle for a very small fee. If you try anything here, let it be their ‘tom kha’ with chicken. SO good.

I always feel like I am sitting in the dining room of a hospitable Thai family who just happen to have large shop-like windows looking out onto the street and give you a menu to choose from. The food and service is wonderful, selling all the usual combinations of Thai dishes. Visiting the bathroom even takes you on a tour upstairs into the family house. The restaurant is however, smart, clean and not often too busy. The food is served quickly and cooked to perfection. This really is the best non European cuisine you will find in the area.

This is a real neighbourhood gem, cheap food, BYO and authentically spiced curries. The service is slick and sometimes you have the feeling that you a victim of this places success. Head round the corner for a drink whilst you wait for your table and ensure that are not wearing anything too floaty as you will knock items from your fellow diners tables.
