I really like this pub! This is a great local pub where you can meet plenty of people from the East Finchley neighborhood and beyond. They have a variety of drinks selection! Outdoor seating is available. They also have some games like foosball available for 1 pound per round of play. Bartenders are super nice and friendly!

My favorite pub in East Finchley! They have loads of board games, and although it’s tiny there are lots of dark, candlelit corners if you’re feeling naughty and want to sneak a kiss. The crowd is lively enough but I always seem to get a seat, and it’s quite cheap, even when I factor in the US exchange rate. I can’t quite articulate why I have such a good time here, but I keep going back nonetheless. See you there!

This and the Windsor Castle hidden away back of east finchley are the best pubs in the area. Im sure the exacting standards of the gastropub set are not met, but this place has beer, darts, a low key atmosphere, a great jukebox, and i friendly and unpretentious. If you want food go elsewhere. If it had a billiards table it would get five stars from me but then it would have to find new premises to fit.

Yep, CJ’s got this spot on. A pub is a pub is a pub. It doesn’t do grub, like a good pub should, but it feels a pub and not a seedy club. Bearing in mind I was about as tongue-tied and confused as you are right now when I went here, I’m relying on a patchy memory to write this. What do you need to know? It’s a bit small, it’s a bit dark and dingy, but it’s relatively cheap and it serves its purpose and its locals pretty well. That’s all there is to know about The Alexandra. It’s not great, but then it would have been better calling itself the Alexander.

Well… It depends what you’re looking for in a pub, and really I don’t know where to start with this review. This pub is tiny, it has the feel of a student union bar, but a little one. That’s not a complaint, or a compliment really. As I say depends what you like. It has a dart board! That’s good, and rare in most London pubs these days. It serves decent beer, from what I remember(it has to be said I was a bit tipsy by the time I got there last night, but have been a few times before, usually when tipsy though). It has candles on the table, in Jaegermeister bottles which is cool, but again ads to the studenty feel. Are they going for this, or trying to be Bohemian. The clientele is young, or old dads trying to be young, and it can get very busy at the weekends. That said I have always seemed to get the last table. Toilets weren’t the cleanest, but they did the job. No food, but then you wouldn’t want to eat here. It’s a pub, it does the job, and does it well, it just doesn’t do anything else for me! So basically, go here when on a bar crawl, go here for one quick drink or go here for darts. Don’t go expecting anything else.

This pub should appeal to quite a few people. It’s cool without trying too hard(well I guess putting up all the pictures around the pub was quite hard, but you know what I meanright?) The staff were very friendly. It’s always nice when someone wishes you goodnight or says goodbye as you as you leave. Enjoyed a nice floral and fruity pint of St Austell Tribute, so I can recommend the ale here for sure!

The Alexandra is a great little pub. On of the best in Muswell Hill I think. It’s the middle of East Finchley and Muswell Hill so it’s very easy to get to. Like Jonboy said it has just been refurbished which looks great. The Staff are very friendly and it’s nice to sit in the garden and have a lovely drink.

By far the friendliest and quirkiest drinking whole I have come across in the area over the past 12 years. Recently refurbished with exciting modern décor, this is an über charming pub with real ales, sky sports, darts, scrabble, cluedo, cards and even twister! Pictures of Hendrix, The Beatles and many more cover the walls. A fantastic jukebox and occasional live music, whether you a live across the road or come from 200 miles away a smile and a good sense of humour will guarentee you some good banta with the close knit bar staff and the regulars at the bar. Reasonably priced and an extremely comfortable and intimate surrounding to spend any night of the week.
