The Book Warehouse

It’s one of the many Book Warehouse locations around London. It’s crammed, but if you have time, rummage through the selections. Much less than the Waterstones across the street!

This crammed book shop is wonderful and full of great deals.
It has a wide variety of books, DVDs, CDs and stationary. You can find a book about the life of Queen Elizabeth and right next to it a copy of the Kama Sutra. Haha.
They also sell classic authors for only £1.99. WIN!
I say, if you are close by, do go in… you’ll be hooked.

If you have some free time to browse pop in! A lot of interesting albums and real bargains!

I left here wishing for a larger selection or a general idea of what type of books they stocked. Of course there are the classics, art, history and those sections with perhaps more popular books, but it felt a bit lacking in order. It’s one of those awkward sizes where you don’t know if they have everything or don’t. Luckily the man was very nice and if you ask, he’ll look it up for you. Plus everything is at a great deal. It’s a short walk from my place, so I’ll probably be visiting often!

The Book Warehouse just outside Notting Hill Gate tube station is a decent little place. It specialises in cheap remainder books sold at discount prices as well as stocking a few of the latest titles for a bit more, but even these are lower prices that you would pay in a High Street book store.
The books are laid out in a way that makes them easy to find and easy to browse through. The one downside to the store is the size. Only a few customers have to be in the store and the narrow aisles become a tight squeeze. This shop is not ideal if you are out with prams or children.
As well as books they stock a small range of CDs, mainly compilations, and DVDs. The selection isn’t great and is a bit random but it’s worth having a browse just in case there is a gem hidden away in there.
Parking is available in the surrounding streets but a lot of these are either permit holders only or pay and display meters. Make sure you check the small roadside signs before you leave the car as wardens do check this area regularly.

This is a great book shop in Notting Hill. I’m not a Notting Hill native but I’m a big fan of little independent book shops.
I needed a travel book once day whilst strolling through Notting Hill, this shop has such a big selection. Books are so expensive nowadays but the books here were so affordable, there were lots of discounted books, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and the staff were so helpful and friendly.
It’s a shame this isn’t closer to my house or else I’d be in there all the time. It beats the big corporate book shops on atmosphere and friendliness alone.

YOU will find great bargains, on both old and new books at this book warehouse. They have a complete range for all age readers, from childrens, religious, fashion, lifestyle, property, fiction, biography, etc. Also to be seen are gift and accessory articles for presents.
So if you ever find yourself around Notting Hill Tube station then drop by ‘The Book Warehouse’. Come rain or sunshine they always have a deadly table laden with the best bargains outside the shop. One really can’t resist pausing to browse.

The Book Warehouse is a very interesting place. It is filled with many things for different activities. It has books, puzzles, cards and more. I also like it because it has a big range of ages in their target audience, so you can find something for the whole family.
I also like this shop because it is easy to access. Local community transport can get you there in a flash. The prices at The Book Warehouse are very reasonable, making it affordable for everyone.

This is not your conventional bookshop like Waterstones across the road. It has the widest variety of books and subjects in one tiny bookshop than I have seen before. You can find a book on iraq sitting next to a copy of the Karma Sutra. The staff are very helpful and fun to chat to. You can also buy a series of classics for only £1.99, and a variety of brilliant and cheap classical or jazz cds. If you can’t quite afford or be bothered to traipse around the large chain bookstores, this place is perfect for a qutie browse.
