The Bridge is a charming and friendly pub just into Barnes near the Hammersmith Bridge. The pub itself is really bright and light and has a very family-friendly feel to it. The back area seems more geared for dining and the front more for having a drink and a chat. There’s a large deck and a further large garden at the back with lots of comfortable seating, shade under umbrellas if needed, and heat lamps for the cooler evenings. We stopped in here for a drink and a snack after long wanders along the river and I’m so glad we discovered it. Just a lovely spot.

This pub is perfectly nice. It’s got a big rowing boat hanging from the ceiling and very nicely upholstered furniture throughout. There’s lots of nice light, a nice garden, nice floorboards, a nice menu. Three very nice girls faffed around bringing us food and we watched as they all faffed about getting everyone else’s food and drink too. It was good entertainment. The missus’s crab linguini was nice. My buffalo wings were quite nice. It feels a bit unfair giving it two stars. But it’s a bit of a vacuum in this pub. All very nice and clean and stylish. Just lacking in any real atmosphere. With so much brilliant choice on the north bank, the five minute walk across the river is well worth it and not just for the beautiful views.

Good food. Slow an un-attentive service. This pub stands out as quite a nice gastropub catering to the local crowd. The menu is typical English with bangers & mash, some fish, steak and chicken options. Though we dropped by at 8pm on a Fri and they were already out of chicken… If you sit at the front, you order at the bar. The place wasn’t busy, and after listing off our food items and drinks we sat down. The same barman/waiter came and laid the table, but it took us a while to figure out he’d poured our drinks and just left them on top of the bar. On a second order I asked for ice-cream. By the time it reached the table most of it had melted. These are details you notice that annoy you if you go to a nice pub, which this is.

A pub worth visiting with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Spent many an hour enjoying the sun in the large, leafy beer garden. See if you can spot the owl. Food is of a good standard. Handsome sized portions, especially the fish and chips. No complaints re the service. Always a pleasant experience.

nice little pub in Barnes. it has a good atmosphere, reasonable food and friendly staff. On mondays the food is 2 for 1, so you cant really go wrong!

This is a really good pub just off the south side of Hammersmith Bridge. Hence the name. Not awe-inspiring, but apt. The bar is a good size and the selection of drinks is good, from the usual European lagers and ciders to a really tasty wine list and some nice whiskeys. It’s a great place either for lunch or dinner, as the food is really nice. It is a little pricier than other pubs but it is worth it for the quality and size of the portions. Two added bonuses are the games(winner) and the outside seating area around the back. Lovely for a Sunday lunch on a sunny weekend.

I really like this pub. It’s a good place to meet up with people for me, considering it’s in between Hammersmith and Barnes. I love the lighting in here at night. Really sets the mood. WINK. Also, Scrabble. I’m sold if a pub also offers free board games, bonus if no pieces are missing. They know what they’re doing at The Bridge, and they’re good at it too.

I went here recently for a big family lunch. There were 6 of us and it was quite busy but the staff were really friendly and helpful especially when we were all confused about what to eat because everything looked so great. After changing my mind a hundred times I decided to have the venison and my partner went for the fish and chips and I immediatley had food envy because they were so so good! The rest of the meal was 5 star and a word to the wise on dessert… go for the cheesecake!!!
