I’ve visited the Ealing Park Tavern three times and if it wasn’t for the last visit, which was disappointing, this would have been a solid five out of five, It’s brilliant for Sunday lunch and on two occasions I’ve had the biggest portions ever. The roast chicken has been particularly good. It’s perfectly cooked, served with crunchy yet fluffy spuds, a yorkshire pud, carrots and the works. They even bring macaroni cheese out for the table to share. When your belly expects that, it makes it very disappointing if the portion size changes and you end up with a scrap of chicken. If that’s half a chicken, it must have been a chicken with stunted growth or an anorexic chicken. I’m hopeful I’ll go back and have a better experience so it still gets four out of five. The décor is fantastic and cosy and they have all the papers for a lazy sunday afternoon. The staff are friendly, they have a long wine list and some craft beers on tap. Top Tip: The sticky toffee pudding has been out of this world good on all occasions so save room for it. Also, it’s big enough for two to share!

I’ve just moved to the area and this pub really is a dimond in the ruff. Absolutely gorgeous food, delicious cocktails and possibly the BEST sticky toffee pudding EVER! They have a lovely beer garden and some fantastic deals during the week e.g. ‘beat the barman’ on Tuesdays and 2 for 1 cocktails on Wednesdays. Well worth a visit!

This place certainly is unique! With multiple animal busts from boar and moose hanging on the walls and several fireplaces scattered throughout, it feels more like a hunting lodge than a London watering hole. I almost felt under-dressed having left my tweed and wellies at home… The food was really nice though, the service attentive(though a little slow) and the atmosphere really good. They will also be brewing their own beer soon, so I can’t wait to go back, grab a big chair in front of the fire and find out what’s been brewing.

Terrible slow service. Waited almost an hour for food and staff were rude when we asked how long it would be. Avoid!

It was a luxurious restaurant for me. I find the food very tasty and the dessert very flavorful, I love how they serve us and the food presentation was awesome. You guys did a great job!

one of the nicer pubs around South Ealing, if you are nearby. Not the cheapest pub ever — but it is the only one in that area. Mostly the staff are friendly and approachable. The food is very good, more than your standard pub grub. but I have found you sometimes need to book in advance at a weekend!

Great pub, if pricey for a beer. Very good food although — as someone unafraid of pretentious food — I found the weekend lunch menu disappointingly complex. Only two sandwiches on the menu and limited«traditional» options for a quick meal.

Nice place with very good food. It is certainly better than most gasrtopubs and one of the best places to have a good meal in Ealing although it’s not quite in the league of the Anchor and Hope etc. The main reason is that the menu often tries too hard, and could be a bit simpler. The beer, wine and food are all top notch, and the service can’t be faulted.

We come here a couple of times a year and like the food which, although not cheap, is of a high quality and so the price is about right. We have been happy with the service, but that can depend on the individual person. However, I would urge everyone not to pay the 12.5% optional service charge on the credit card but, if satisfied with the service, pay that amount(or more!) in cash to the waiter/waitress. The management are using the tips they can monitor to pay the wages. I read about this practice over a year ago in the newspapers but, as we do not go there that often and the workers there are, for obvious reasons, reluctant to say too much, it has taken a while for me to find out what the situation is. In particular, the regulars(who obviously like the food and service) just pay the total bill on the card. To be honest, I think you should always pay any tip in cash as this sector is notorious for low wages.

this is a unique find especially in south ealing. I would love to come here again because the food is as good as gourmet! and not that usual rubbish! it has a very warm rustic atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. i was abit surprised to find the quality and was expecting a local boozer but its far from looks quite inviting from outside and it is the same inside. would be good just for a couple or even friends to chill out. the staff are exceptionally good looking and young! i can’t remember what i tried which is a shame because it was lovely but probably go back here again maybe for valentines day with the bf!

I have to agree with Timinator that this Pub is one of the best Gastropubs in London. They have a great selection of wine, nibbles served at the bar(Chillies stuffed with Feta, Olives, etc) and an amazing dinner room. I have eaten many times and Sunday lunch and evenings you need to book. Booking is not the pretentious bookings its the fact that this place is busy and popular as it is GOOD. I had the Steak with chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding. I cannot complain and as ever the plates were clean at the end. They have a pleasant Beer Garden to chill when the weather is nice albeit when. Great place to go with friends, family or on a date. Good food, great choices and a lovely pub.

One of the reasons we moved to South Ealing was this inviting Pub/Diner at the corner of our street. Now, 8 years on, this place has never disappointed us in maintaining a high standard of food and wine. I believe they still do tapas at the bar and their summer garden is a tranquil haven in an otherwise dull neighborhood. There is a great ambiance and buzz around the place and I am already looking forward to our next booking!

Large pub with an excellent restaurant and range of beers. Plenty of room for larger groups and a lively atmosphere when busy. The restaurant and food are great with separate dining facilities — can be very busy and hence a reservation could be a good idea. If you are in the area drop in and have a drink or two. You can’t miss it if you are driving up South Ealing Road from the A4 about 300−350m from the roundabout on the left opposite the play area.

I remember this too as the Penny Flyer and I don’t think, in the several years I lived in Ealing, ever dared go in! So when my Ealing friend suggested we go there I was a little nervous! And then extremely surprised and elated! The décor is lovely — they have done it out so well with the different rooms and the atmosphere is great — a completely different clientele I am sure! The food was excellent, maybe a little pricey but this is more of a gastro pub now!

Fabulous food, I went there for my birthday dinner recently and loved everything I had, nice restaurant area although I thought the light from the kitchens(which are open plan and adjacent) was a little bright

Oh lucky you are you only remember the EPT as it is now. When it was the Penny Flyer it was abhorentthe kind of place you took your life in your hands visiting. Ealings answer to The slaughtered Lamb from American Werewolf… but I digress. The EPT is one of the best GastroPubs I have visited. The staff are always on the ball, the food good enough to eat TWICE and the wine list stunning. If you are visiting friends in either Brentford or Ealing this place is perfect as you can have a few beers before your meal and then a few after in a relaxed atmosphere. If you live in Brentford or Ealing and haven’t been here yet. you need to get out more. Well worth a visit, even if it is a bit off the beaten track.

This is, in my experience, the best gastropub in London. Once upon a time it was(I’m told) a particularly dodgy place called The Penny Flyer. I don’t know about that, but I know that right now it’s the dining experience that my friends and I lust for the most. The pub side of the building is really large and nice, with plenty of tables, lots of beers, tons of great wines by the glass or bottle, and the most delicious bar snacks. There’s a huge area of concrete tables outside, great for summer time. The dining area has about a dozen tables, and usually books up over a week in advance. More than once we’ve had to settle for very early or late sittings to fit in. On my second visit, for instance, our dinner reservation was for late, so we had a pint in the beer garden first. The outdoor tables are long concrete benches, but they kindly supply colourful woolen blankets to sit on. The meal was excellent: a friend had some sort of tuna thingy, I had hamhock terrine. More pig followed for the main, with a roast pork belly that was — no lie — the best pork I’ve ever had in my life. I think someone had some duck that was good, too, but I didn’t really notice, I was enraptured. Another standout meal I had there: monkfish wrapped in pancetta with brie. One other time I had guinea fowl on haggis and barley risotto(the Scottish theme due to the day prior being Saint Andrew’s Day): delicious. Afterwards, the table shared a plate of British cheeses, which our French visitors had to grudgingly admit were delicious. It’s always freakishly tasty. The service is impeccable, too. After one spell where we went several times in a row, they were getting to know us.
