Great little Indian restaurant in Fulham. Food tastes amazing. I had the butter chicken masala which seems to be a slight variation to a normal chicken tikka masala but in my opinion it is even better. Definitely the only Indian worth going to in the area.

This review is down to the service on 13 November. It was awful. The host was rude and we waited for 20 minutes before a server acknowledged us.

The food was pretty good. I had the butter chicken masala with garlic naan which is basically like chicken tikka masala. The food and wait staff were good. Had an overall good experience apart from the Indian couple sitting next to me that were speaking so loud I felt like I was sitting next to a loud speaker at a concert! So much for a quiet Sunday dinner.

Possibly some of the best food I have ever had. We had the lunch special and it was delicious all around. Quaint atmosphere and great location. We will definitely recommend it and be back!

Nepalese must be code for up-scale Indian. I can’t compare it to anything else & I’m probably offending both the Nepalese and the Indians by saying that. But if you’re like me, and know very little about this exotic country and it’s cuisine, that would be the closest to compare it to. Regardless; the food is amazing! And that’s really all you need to know.

This place is good but it was advertised as a Nepalese restaurant and I felt that it was a lot more Indian food choices on the menu. A bit disappointing as I would have liked it to be more authentic. I had great chicken wings and I nice prawn curry which was amazing as leftovers the next day at home. Great food worth a try !

I went here for some fine Indian food due to some recommendations. It’s always a good thing to listen to my friends and I was not disappointed at all. There were some fine dining and excellent service involved in the mix.

My boyfriend is a wee bit obsessed with the Greedy Buddha. Like he just casually throws it into the conversation, I think trying to plant the seed among our friends, hoping one of us will«spontaneously» start thinking — gee, I could really go for a curry… how about the Greedy Buddha? In a really nice neighborhood, close to my friend’s flat, lies this lovely little restaurant. It is cosy and dim, and feels romantic but equally suited to a group of friends(which is what we had). I went with the crowd and got a big bottle of beer that I’d never seen before(Nepalese beer? Maybe? I could just be making that up) which was delicious and allegedly stronger than some other beers. Took a while to polish it off, but it was definitely the good stuff! I got a beetroot curry(which also had lamb in it), in a rich, herbal green sauce. My boyfriend’s favorite curry has the green sauce too — I think it was called meatball curry, or something like that? The flavor was great but the freshness was really unparalleled. Nothing like the greasy, slick-with-ghee curries you find elsewhere. Not too expensive either. A wonderful spot to share drinks and a really unique meal with a small group of friends — while they have the traditional offerings, much of what is on their menu was totally new to me. Try something you’ve never had, and odds are you will be greatly rewarded!

We rented a house in Fulham for a week, and we lucked out that we were near Greedy Buddha. Although it’s a Nepalese restaurant, it also offers a number of Indian staples which were deeply flavored and absolutely delicious. We got lamb meatballs in green curry, butter chicken, chicken biryani, momo, and mixed tandoori grill. Fantastic. Worth going to.

i really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here. Very low-key, chilled out and friendly. Not in a busy area, a hidden gem. The apple curry recommended by another review was lovely.

Came here on recommendation the other night and I was delighted by the restaurant. Sat outside and ordered just before 7:30 which meant I got all food at 25% off, which was an added and unexpected bonus. The traditional Nepalese fish curry was excellent — spicy enough to show it was authentic without blowing the roof of my mouth off. My companion was less adventurous, but her chicken jalfrezi also was good, along with the lentils. Add rice, papadums, naan and two large Nepalese beers and we paid £35 including 15% for excellent service. Can’t argue with that!

Hadn’t had nepalese food before I went here and didn’t know what to expect… actually very similar to food in standard Indian restaurants… better than the average Indian restaurant for sure… very nice actually

A nice little gem you always come back to. The food in this place is always light, fresh and incredibly tasty — I would highly recommend Nepalese curry, butter masala curry, tandoori fish, king prawn lemon grass. Their naans are awesome, especially the garlic one and I would recommend drinking nepalese green tea to accompany the experience. The service is good, however some recently hired fluent English speakers can be quite rude sometimes.

This place is low-key, delicious, and great value for money. My favorites: apple/cashew curry, mint chicken, and the fish tikka. I think I“ve been here about four times now, and it’s always a huge delight. Even the wines are well-priced and tasty. They also have a huge cocktail menu. Gluten-free notes: These Nepalese/Indian dishes are generally naturally gluten-free. But if you’re extremely sensitive you may want to ask.

Really good value«Nepalese» food(tastes just like Indian to me) in a cute part of Fulham. By really good value, I mean two mains, a shared vegetable side dish, rice, naan, poppadoms, diet coke and kingfisher beer for £22. Yes, you read that right. An absolute bargain. The service was a bit slow the night we went, but the food was fresh, tasty, and inventive. Will definitely go back.

Very nice medium restaurant. I have been returning there many times, I have my favourite dish table. You can really like this place after visiting. Waiters may have a bit of problem with English but it actually gives it more charm as a Nepalese /Indian kitchen. Really recommended.

Brilliant food, whether to eat in or take away, great atmosphere, lovely staff, we love it so much and I’m always guilty of having the same thing! Please help save this fab little restaurant from the credit crunch.

Is your eyeliner looking particularly fetching? Did you move in together a year ago today? Did the pair of shoes you bought on ebay arrive looking cuter than the photo? Is it a Saturday night out? A Tuesday where you forgot to defrost anything? Do you want to get away from your TV and spend time alone together? Are you craving some mouth wateringly delicious food? Then, it’s got to be Greedy Buddha. Hands down. It’s our go-to place. We’ve never been disappointed and in these hard times, we’ve decided that the Greedy Buddha must survive. If we go out to dinner, it’s to the Buddha. Lovely food(try the Hasina – it’s lush), wonderfully friendly and helpful serving staff, mellow lounge atmosphere and all at reasonable cost. Dinner for two(with 3 ginormous Nepal Ice bottles) is usually a refreshingly for-value 35 quid. If you’re in the neighborhood, come on by. If you can’t play nice, don’t bother. The Buddha does not need you – it has us!

A cool and funky place to go and eat and then chill out downstairs in the bar. This is place that you can go to and eat and then make a night of it by going downstairs to the bar and just chilling out and relaxing. Go with a few friends and just enjoy great food and great company in nice and relaxed surrounding. If seems to me that the food is almost a side issue here. Don’t get me wrong it is really nice but it just feels like the sort of place to go and chill. They play good music and you can be caught out by how much time you have spent there without realising it. A small upstairs with further seating downstirs, attentive staff, good food and a weird but good feel about not having to rush after you have finished. Almost has a feel of a private club — weird !!
