A slightly twee shop devoted to all things honey related. Although the only place I know where I can go and buy a beehive, I do object to cross-​subsidizing the «special» items by paying outlandishly inflated prices for simpler, more mundane items. Like pots of honey. I might occasionally have a poke about in here, but it remains highly unlikely I’ll ever actually buy anything.

I love honey second to chocolate… which means I have at any given time about 3 – 4 different kinds on hand. I keep one in my desk at work and 2 – 3 at home. Maybe I’ll get Egyptian and bury myself with some… I digress.
The Hive Honey shop is fantastic and an adorable little find an the already «too-​cute-​for words» «yummy mummy alley» that is Northcote road. Any honey product — from gourmet honeys around the world, to beeswax candles, to honey toiletries to a «strater hive» kit are on sale. The shop owner is a lovely middle-​aged honey enthusiast who also manages a huge hive within the shop. You can see them all buzzing around in a window case and sample some of their wares.
It’s awesome… go.

What a cute shop! I love honey, so this is obviously a good place for a girl like me. Really great range of products, not too pricey and very friendly staff. More than anything, I’d highly recommend The Hive for gifts. Everything is all packaged and wrapped up so nicely.
Also, they have a honey based cough syrup that works WONDERS!

Ah the joys of birthdays. If it wasn’t for my birthday, I wouldn’t have found out about this little gem. One of my work colleagues bought me some Bee Heaven Farm Orchard apple juice from here for my birthday and I found the Hive Honey Shop from the label
Located on the foodie-​centric Northcote Road with its open-​air market, this shop is an amazing treasure trove of anything to do with honey. There’s even a 5 foot high glass-​fronted beehive, which is home to 20,000 live bees. You can watch them hard at work
You can get anything from honey to cosmetics to candles here. Even Winnie the Pooh would be sated!

Devoted entirely to all things to do with honey and bees, this fascinating little shop in Clapham has an amazing glass observation hive built in to the shop where you can watch the bees at work. It is pretty exciting stuff.
The owner answered all my questions concerning my fears of the declining bee population (it is an unknown disease as oppose to a wi-​fi problem) and told me how honey, beeswax candles and royal jelly cosmetics are made. There are also honey samples to try.

Aahh the sweet smell of honey… pooh bear would be a very happy chappy in this store. It’s the first place I’ve ever seen that’s entirely dedicated to honey, and the owner is very passionate about it indeed, having been a beekeeper since he was five.
Every lotion and potion and medicinal recipe in here has been handed down the generations so you won’t find these products anywhere else. I’ve bought some candles and beeswax furniture polish for my houseproud mum in here, but also the honey lip balm which feels luxurious and is pretty cheap. Of course, the honey itself is delicious too.
