Wish I lived closer, this is a great local. Certainly better than the chain pubs along Earls Court Road. Cozy and classic pub feel. It decent amount of seating without feeling crowded. Stopped by on a Monday, which happens to be Quiz night, and they were out of most items on the food menu. The staff was fantastic, they knew exactly what was still available and got me sorted quickly. Also great bar service; good to see a bar where everyone can properly pull a cask ale.

A super cozy pub which even has a fire place. You will always find some good cask conditioned beer. Just a great place to come with friends especially for trivia night.

Love this place. I live nearby and only recently visited here for a friends birthday lunch. The food is great and excellent value — the chips are some of the best I have ever had. The staff were great for a big party that included 4 children. Very relaxed atmosphere and whilst it is wonderfully close to Earls Court tube station it is NOT at all horrid like the other pubs in this area. It’s in a quiet little back street that makes you feel like you are miles from the nasty Earls Court Road. Would highly recommend and will be sure to return regularly.

This place is pretty decent. Went to watch a game here and there were good beers on tap and my burger was flavorful. Decent beers on tap. But it is lacking in any personality.

Just landed in London and what do I need? Well, a cider, of course. Found The King’s Head on Unilocal upon arriving to my hotel, located around the corner from the pub. Naturally, a cider was the first thing on my mind, but I also ordered the Thai chicken burger. The chips were absolutely fantastic, the cole slaw was great, and the burger was pretty good. I really enjoyed the décor and vibe of this place. Think contemporary meets Victorian. Robin’s egg blue on the molded walls but modern light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. It seems like an ideal place to pull a couple of chairs up around a table, relax, and shoot the breeze with a group of close friends. To that end, I was surprised at how populated it was late on a Monday night — others must have had the same idea.

Recently moved to the area and it didn’t take long to find out that there’s only one really good pub here.(One of the others is acceptable) The pub has just changed hands(again) and the place has been gutted and redecorated in «pub modern» ie no curtains — so no shade(bad) no sound deadening(bad), but fully air conditioned(thank god). The loos are clean — the ladies loo especially so(my wife assures me!). It’s clean and the food is good — the portions are not huge but they are adequate. The new landlord is very pleasant and chatty and he does not tolerate idiots fools or drunks at all. All the staff are friendly and helpful. This pub has regulars — indeed it is — I think, the only pub in Earls Court that does. It has become my local and very welcomed I feel too. They accept dogs

What was once arguably the best pub in Earl’s Court is now one of the worst. The recent remodel has universally been considered an #epicFAIL. Gone are most of the comfy couches, which have been replaced by cheap, uncomfortable pine chairs. New management seems to think that this place is a lounge, not a pub. Even the staff were bemoaning the changes. Such a pity…

The Kings Head has changed: for the worse. Before it had a great atmosphere if slightly tired. It was full every night but now it has been refurbished. The look has changed to that of a 1960’s Fish and Chip shop with IKEA reject furnishings. All nasty white wood and stainless steel and down lighters. Certainly not a pub I would want to relax in any more. Hardly a pub for Earl’s Court!

Couldn’t diasagee more with Sherlock 75’s comments, in fact I’ve given an extra star to compensate for the low mark. I was there on the opening night, which was Friday so conceivably things might have been very different on Saturday night but I doubt it. I liked the décor, I liked the music, they have a great Spanish beer I don’t remember the name of and Mac’s Gold on tap, and they kept bringing meat(rare beef, pork scratchings, sausage, black pudding etc, and some fish) around for everyone(I accept this may not have happened on Saturday night but you could order the platters to share with your friends), so overall I’ll definitely be back

The King’s Head has in the last five years become THE pub in Earl’s Court. Its hard-to-find location gives it the edge over dumps like the Prince of Teck, as a wandering backpacker is unlikely to stumble across it. This is strictly a local boozer, and it shows in the laid-back atmosphere. There is an excellent range of beers — this week Pride + Doom + Landlord — plus that pink beer that chicks like to drink. I’ve only eaten here once but it was pretty good. Staff are competent and friendly, and the relatively low staff turnover adds to a sense of stability about the place. It can get crazy Friday and Saturday evenings, but in a good way, and it’s great for chilling with the newspapers weekend lunchtimes. Pub Quiz night is good, as well. Hard to fault, and long may it remain an Earl’s Court institution.

My friend and I were looking for a new pub to check out Saturday night. We stumbled upon Kings Head and are definitely coming back. The pub is laid back with a fun atmosphere. The drinks are reasonable and the menu is really good. Whether for dinner or just drinks it is a destination to go to!

The pub was on small street in earls court area. The drink in the pub was very good quality and the drinking atmopshere was great. It was often busy in the evening though not on the main street. The food was not very good in my opinion but the price was reasonable. I would like to recommend this one for the drinking pub in earls court,

I would consider this one of the best pubs close to Earl’s court tube station, it’s hidden away from the main road. The KH serves a good range of lager and ales, plus a decent wine list. The atmosphere is good, especially if you’re able to takeover one of the areas with a sofa, I’d agree with the ‘shabby chic’ comment. Having eaten here a couple of times, I would recommend the burgers, they are homemade and offer good value for money.

Along with the Blackbird, this is the other reliable pub in Earl’s Court. It’s tucked away off Earl’s Court Road in the so-called ‘Kenway Village’, surrounded by cottagey houses. The pub itself is shabby chic(lots of sofas), attracts a youngish crowd, and can get quite busy. There’s a good range of real ales, including Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, and a wide selection of bottled beers too. The place fancies itself as a bit of a gastro-pub, with an eclectic menu, although I’ve not eaten here. Reports of the food are rather variable — but if in doubt, there are plenty of restaurants immediately around it.
