The London Dungeon

Oh London Dungeon, you almost rhyme.
We were tourists in London, so of course we’re going to end up doing touristy things. We were recommended and brought here by some friends, and I must say it was an impressive setup they had.
I grew up at Disneyland. I live right down the street and have been going since I was only enough to walk. I’m used to theming and elaborate set pieces and the like. London Dungeon is honestly like Disney was allowed to go full on macabre without worrying about scaring children (okay, slightly lower budget as Disney would have, but just as much commitment).
We were taken on a tour through London’s dark and twisted past, hearing stories and experiencing set pieces from the likes of Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd, and the Black Plague. Each segment had very enthusiastic actors who seemed to be having a blast and what’s great is that no two segments were overly similar (each one would have a sort of gimmick to be exploited at some point).
The ride portions were impressive considering the area they had to work with. Again, not the most advanced special effects but certainly more than I was expecting.
I will say this, if you aren’t into more macabre history or have a super weak constitution to hearing about murder or the plague, it’d be best to save your money. Otherwise we had a blast. Not something we could really repeat, but a great time nonetheless.

This spot is just «ok». My boyfriend and I went here because it was highly rated on Tripadvisor, and since we went to the London Eye it was only 8 pounds more so it made sense to bulk our trip. This is more of a kids show — the advertisement wasn’t what we actually ending up seeing. They claim there are these rides, but it really is just a float up this short river and back. The whole trip was kind of lame and not scary at all.

i am not sure how much other reviewers have traveled or seen tourist places like this in the US. but, this London Dungeon is so cheesy and touristy that they lost me right at the silly water ride that lasted all of 30 seconds at the very beginning. whoever created this attraction, clearly visited Disneyland, Universal Studios and bad theatre classes. beyond the bit of London’s dark history, the cheesy super short boat ride, green screen photos to add on to the price at the end, awful props and even worse acting. i barely know where to begin my distaste of my complete waste of time and money. i almost forgot to mention that if they cant pry more money from you on the green screen photo, they try it by giving you a «free drink» before you walk out the door in a dark bar. of course, they try once again to sell you something even more cheesy to hold your watered down free drink. i know how these merchandising things work, but i wish they would, at least, give you a bit of authentic London history to do with it. i hope anyone thinking of spending their hard earned money on this silly place, does NOT. you can use it more wisely by burning it on shopping or trying out the many restaurants in London. i have lived in NY, SF and LA and London is a beautiful city with so many things to see and do that one can skip this crazy touristy spot and spend their time more wisely doing ANYTHING else but this place. i wish i could get back the time and money i wasted on this place. if you want to know more about the dark past of London, take one of those horror walking tour at night. money much better spent.

You queue up in the dark with various bits and pieces of history/​fun to keep you entertained while you wait and are then let through in small groups. Of course first thing you have to do is pose for the green screen photos that are pretty much compulsory at a Merlin attraction before being led to your doom…
I won’t spoil the adventure but I actually thought it was pretty good fun. Live actors tell you some of the more gruesome tales from London’s past interspersed with some pretty fun rides and special effects designed to shake you up a little. It’s a bit like rudimentary immersive theatre I suppose. It’s had a bit of a revamp after moving from their Tooley Street site to County Hall and it’s definitely a fun thing to experience especially if you like to get a little scared. It’s suitable for age 8+ and while there was a wee brave girl who was younger than this in our group and she seemed quite content I wouldn’t recommend it for young uns!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!
Hardly any facts were told and was mainly listening to bad jokes be told. During one part the two male actors told my 15 year old daughter to go to the fake podium in front of the whole tour to embarrass her and be sexist. The two men yelled in her face to shake and show her booty yelling booty! Booty! Booty! And to bare her chest of treasures… Paedophilia? She was called a wench and when the actor yelled in her face spat flew out of his mouth on her. I know its all part of their act, but she was mortified, scared and felt like crying. Overall it was a HUGE waste of money and disappointment. I now feel like making a police report. Please save your money!

If you like standing in a claustrophobic, smelly and crowded series of rooms for two hours while occasionally being startled, this experience could be for you. Otherwise, save your money and spend those two hours visiting one of the exquisite and free museums London has to offer. There is nothing to be seen or learned here that isn’t better represented elsewhere in the city (or on the Internet for that matter).
I don’t generally rate with the single star, and always try to find a positive element to any establishment. However this place is truly a waste of time and money.

Save your money. Rides were broken and we had to stand in a small hot foyer for almost one hour. Disappointing, shuffled from room to room to be told a story. Take a walk along the river instead. Very disappointing.

Unbedingt Wochenende und Feiertage vermeiden! Ich war 2x hier uns es konnte kaum unterschiedlicher sein. Das erste Mal letztes Jahr: 10 Minuten warten. Das zweite Mal dieses Jahr: 3 Stunden in der Kälte anstehen. Die Preise sind happig, aber wenn man einen Gutschein und/​oder Studentenausweis hat, bekommt man das Ticket auch etwas billiger — klappt sogar mit internationalen Studentenausweisen!
Mit kleinen Kindern z.B. unter 10 Jahren würde ich den Dungeon nicht Besuchen, da sind doch eine ausgestellte Sachen etwas makaber (mal davon abgesehen, dass Kinder bei der Kälte und der langen Wartezeit quängeln und sich im Dungeon erschrecken und laut weinen). Die Darsteller reden in sehr starkem «british english», was nicht immer für jedermann so leicht verständlich ist, aber die Körpersprache versteht man immer ;-) .
Wer hier die Gruselerfahrung seines Lebens sucht, ist am falschen Platz — denn hier wird man unterhalten!

Ótima atração para quem quer conhecer, de uma maneira bem diferente, a história sangrenta dos principais episódios que ocorreram em Londres. O calabouço é uma masmorra que conduz o visitante aos cenários da Grande Praga, o Grande Incêndio de Londres, além de outras atrações como, Jack Estripador, Bloody Mary Killer Queen e Extremis. Os visitantes tem que ter coragem, por que os sustos são constantes e o ambiente bem assustador, com um áudio típico de filme de terror e com a sensação de que vai acontecer algo a qualquer momento. Acho que a inspiração do trem fantasma veio daqui.

Although I did not go on this tour, I asked my husband and daughter about their experience here at the London Dungeon. They said it was great entertainment and the information was interactive and interesting to learn. They notified that the actors were in deep character and the interaction with the guests made it more extravagant. There were a few things though that might need to be fixed. One of which is that my 13-​year-​old daughter was not pleased with the fact that one of the actors offended her in many different ways; first of which is he said she had a «funny looking face» and told another man he was ugly and big. After the actor said she had a funny looking face, they told her that she needed «to wink more» to interest the boys. This was not necessary in the tour, even though we knew they were acting, but the fact that she was a young teen could be damaging to people’s self esteem; let’s ease up on this aspect please. My daughter had fractured her wrist earlier in the wee and had a cast on, and none of us realized that she could not ride the rides… no discount provided unfortunately.

Disappointing in comparison to the Edinburgh Dungeons!
It was a fun day out, but it was not as scary as I was expecting! Additionally, after queuing for a very long time we got to the front and found out the ride was broken and wouldn’t be operating that day but we would still have to pay the full price!
If you’re looking for an interesting way to learn about London history, with gripping story telling by theatrical actors then this attraction is ideal, however if you’re looking for a thrill then you may be disappointed as the scare-​factor is definitely lacking!

Fine, but truly for kids. Very tongue and cheek, not for the adult sense of humor. Might be slightly scary for young children, I wouldn’t take under 10 as the hallways are dark and eery. Also, when i went, the only formidable part of the show… the portion where the floor drops slightly (one of the people we were with had gone week before) was OUT of service. Bummer. Wouldn’t waste the time if I had known.

Two words: Not Impressed. My friend and I were looking for something to do in London and a tour guide recommended this place. He said it was really scary and fun. Well, save your pounds and avoid this place. It wasn’t scary or fun. It was a waste of time and money. We weren’t scared at all and it took far too long to get through the place.

The first time I came to the London Dungeon was when I was about 9 years old so it’s been a good 18 years… but even disregarding the nostalgia factor, and the magical haze that adds to events/​places, the dungeon as it currently exists isn’t great. The dungeon I remember had actual historical information on torture, murders, and the like that was heightened by the actors, and actresses lurking throughout it. This dungeon now is nearly exclusively performance based. But it’s hardly scary, and not exceptionally well acted.
Sweeney Todd, and Jack The Ripper are the stars of this walk-​through play. And I suppose it might be entertaining if you’re really into those horror characters. And it could be slightly frightening if you’re under 12 years old, or if things like the dark scare you. But for your average adult this is neither thrilling, nor frightening. And it’s not cheap either. I suggest you skip this attraction, and get your thrills elsewhere.

I agree with most of the other reviews… it’s okay, but it’s nothing magically special.
So, the point of it seems to be to teach you a bit about the horrors of ye olde London, while throwing in some actors, sets, models and even a ride to make one gruesome but fun experience.
Sadly it doesn’t really come across that way.
The historical aspect was cool. I’m a bit of a nerd so I really enjoyed learning all about the history of London and the dungeons and the terrible things that happened around our city. To be perfectly honest, and I know it makes me sound boring, I’d have been happy with just that.
But it wasn’t just that. There were actors. One of my biggest things is audience participation. I hate when people jump out and start talking to you or make comments to you and try to goad a response out of you. It makes me feel uncomfortable. And London Dungeons had it in spades. And they’re all so LOUD. My God, shuuusssh.
The displays also looked like they’d seen better days. A lot of them were chipped and you could see the white underneath. That’s if you were able to stay in one place long enough to actually look at them, with the crowds all around you chivvying you along.
But the worst bit of it for me was the ending. In case you didn’t know, at the end of the London Dungeons experience, you’re taken into a room and given a seat, and shown a video which is essentially a ‘You have been found guilty, the sentence is… HANGING.’ and then you are DROPPED.
Turns out, right, it’s a ride. One of those dropping ones where your stomach is in your mouth. But you know nothing about it until about 2 seconds before it happens. I get that telling people would ruin the surprise and so they kind of have to keep it a secret… but guess who has the most massive fear of falling? That’d be me. So this was MY WORST NIGHTMARE. It totally ruined the fun and enjoyment I got out of the experience. I left shaking with fear.
For about £25, it’s too expensive for what you get. You could go to Thorpe Park or Alton Towers for a bit more than that and get a whole range of rides, or any of the amazing museums in London for free for the historical aspect. It just doesn’t quite pull off value for money. Just the novelty part. I wouldn’t go again.
Oh. And the gift shop was also overpriced, but no surprise there.

Oooops sorry did I «ACCIDENTALLY» grab onto you? Crossing my fingers you are at least legal to drink.

Are you a little kid or a preteen? Because I’m not. If you are, then I give this a 4 star rating, go enjoy!
If you’re a grown ass adult like me, or even a 15 year old or greater, go spend your 25 pounds on something more interesting than a glorified haunted house for tourists.
The actors mean well, but their makeup is lacking and the over-​the-​top acting isn’t interesting to me. Their screaming is just annoying. They do give tidbits of information, but not anything I hadn’t heard before and even if I hadn’t, they give so little history that it’s pretty useless. A much better bang for your buck is the Clink Museum.
You spend a lot of time waiting for your super large group to make it down hallways and through doorways. bottlenecks= a lot of waiting around. The mirror maze was one cool part of it though!
Overall it was overpriced, chintzy, and boring.

I absolutely loved it. Although i would stay away if you are frightened very easily, afraid of the dark, or afraid of a gore.
Although if you are a lover of horror and the renaissance, this would be your thing.
It’s a moving show, so you are put in from one room to the next seeing many different actors take you through as if you were living in that time. The actors were amazing, it was completely believable when I saw it.
I do recommend that you buy your tickets online first and pick them up, or print them out before you the time you scheduled. Otherwise you would have to go buy tickets, then come back in a few hours. (For most of the London touristy events I would attempt to do this)
Anyway, it’s a great thing if that’s your type of thing with horror, gore, even history. It factors a bunch of history in to it.

I have mixed emotions.
First many of the pictures here are not of the current London Dungeon but of the old one.
They moved and changed it all over. In the past you went from area to area and viewed and read about various ways to torture and kill people. Now it is more of a show.
My 12 year old called it an expensive fun house/​haunted house. I really can’t disagree with her. They keep you in the dark. There are places where you can put your hand into cages and guess what is in there. There is a mirror maze. A water ride. Lots of nasty smells. Places you need to duck and all kind of cheesy ways to scare you.
You move from area to area… plague doctor, Sweeney Todd, Judge, Jack the Ripper, executioner. It was interesting and the actors working there were fun. I do wish they had given you more facts. It starts to get boring near the end. Air blowing on you to make you jump, flashing lights, shelves knocking themselves over…
It was fun. If you can save a bit of money and buy a package deal then go for it. If you don’t buy the package online through them then make sure you book a time in advanced other wise you have to do it in person and may end up with lots of time to kill if they are busy that day.

It’s been a looooong time since I’ve been to London Dungeons, so long ago I can’t really remember it, apart from knowing that sometimes people can jump out at you! Myself and my friend were able to do the 2 for 1 deal on this as we had our national rail tickets. This is a great deal as it works out very pricey otherwise. I thought the dungeons were a lot of fun and spooky too of course. The majority of the staff were very good at their parts, acting overly dramatic, apart from one or two who sounded like they had just learnt their lines!
Overall It’s a good bit of cheesy fun while still learning teeny bits of history about the dark side of Britain. it has very low lighting or just total darkness so don’t go if you’re afraid of the dark…

Bei der Priorisierung der Londoner Sehenswürdigkeiten würde ich diese eher hinten an stellen und lieber bei Madame Tussaud’s im Folterkeller zum Gruseln vorbeischauen.

Gimmicky, touristy, and worth every penny. The line outside can get pretty long, but luckily, London weather is never too terrible and hot. I didn’t mind waiting in line. I had no idea what to expect.
You’ll be taken on a tour of England’s greatest horror legends, from Sweeney Todd, Jack the Ripper, the witch hunt, and the Great Fire. It’s cheesy, but so much fun. I can’t give too much away because you have to experience it yourself.
The actors are knowledgeable and hilarious. If you’re lucky, you’ll be a part of the show and tour. That was my goal once we started going through, and I was fortunate enough to be murdered by Jack the Ripper (I screamed a teensy bit, and I might have grabbed onto the stranger next to me. Just the typical Yank making a fool of herself in Great Britain).
Don’t think too much into it. Relax and enjoy.

We got there at 09.55 and got in the pre-​sale line, we got in at 10.05. Good job so far.
Atmosphere inside was pretty good although i expected more out of it. It was pretty scary but i’d expect more for 30 pounds a head (we were glad we payed only 35 for 2).
Next time we’re going to try the atraction on the other side of the road, the london bridge experience.

Anscheinend hatte ich Glück gehabt, denn obwohl ich keine Karten vorbestellt hatte, musste ich nur ca. 45 Minuten warten. Wobei man die Ticketpreise von ca. 24, — Pfund nicht unterschätzen darf und vorbestellen lohnt sich schon (bis zu 8 Pfund günstiger).
Etwas an Abzocke erinnert dann aber das Angebot welches man in der Wartschlange erhält. Mitarbeiter des Dungeon bieten einem für 4, — Pfund einen Katalog des Dungeon an, mit diesem kann man auch die Schlange überspringen und direkt zur Kasse vorziehen (erinnert irgendwie an Monopoly lach). Aber Anstehen gehört ja bei einem London-​Besuch ja dazu, von daher würde ich nicht Geld ausgeben um schneller rein zu kommen.
Je später man das Dungeon (von der Tageszeit her) besucht, desto geringer ist wohl der Andrang. Zumindest sind im Internet die Preise für die späteren Touren am günstigsten und ich denke da wird auch am wenigsten Andrang sein. Ich war gegen 16:00 Uhr dort.
Der Dungeon ansich war aber ganz ok. Von einem echten Gruselshocker bin ich aber auch nicht ausgegangen, vor allem weil ja auch viele Kinder das Dungeon besuchen. Aber gerade für Kinder ist es recht kurzweilig mit den Fahrattraktionen wie Wasserbahn, Freefall-​Tower, Spiegelkabinett und 3D-​Shooter. Ich empfand aber manche der Schauspieler schwer zu verstehen. Es gibt keine Führungen mit z.B. deutscher Übersetzung.
Mein persönliches Highlight war die Gerichtsverhandlung. Der Schauspieler konnte wirklich gut auf die Besucher eingehen und war sehr schlagfertig.
Wer Geld sparen will kann auch Kombi-​Tickets mit anderen Attraktionen wie Madame Tussauds oder London Eye erwerben.

Les effets spéciaux sont vraiment grossiers mais on né recherché ça mais plutôt la peur. De ce côté c est du traditionnelle booouuuu et rien d’original. Attention, toute l’histoire est raconté en anglais donc pour les novices dur de tenir le fil, ces anglais parlent vraiment vite, ils né font aucun effort pr les touristes.
Reste chère, mais c’est Londres

Tja, wie kann man das
Dungeon am besten beschreiben? Eine Art Schauspiel oder Theater oder so was in
der Richtung? Inmitten einer Geisterbahn? Aber gruselig ist es nun leider überhaupt
nicht. Wir hatten uns auf ein paar
erlebnisreiche Stunden oder zumindest mal kurzweilige Unterhaltung im Dungeon
gefreut, aber das schrecklichste am Dungeon selbst war die lange Wartezeit am
Eingang. Obwohl wir schon vorher Tickets gekauft hatten, mussten wir 1,5 Std.
anstehen um dann ganze 1,5 Std. im Dungeon zu verbringen. Das war wirklich die
reinste Zumutung! Die Schlange am Ticketschalter war bei weitem nicht so lang,
wie unsere am Einlass für Besucher mit Tickets. Also hieß es erst mal schön
lange anstehen. Aber wir hatten Glück, immerhin regnete es nicht auch noch Am Eingang empfing uns dann
ein freundlicher Mitarbeiter, der so gar nicht nach Dungeon aussah, denn er
war eher wie ein Büroangestellter einer renommierten Firma gekleidet, mit weißem
Hemd und dunkler Hose und so rein gar nicht, wie man sich jemanden vom Dungeon
vorstellt. Zumindest kam dann noch ein Darsteller
mit zwei süßen braunen Ratten vorbei, die wir auch streicheln durften. Leider
tauchten die Ratten im Dungeon dann nicht mehr auf. Im Dungeon war es sehr
stickig, klar, die Atmosphäre eines Verlieses soll ja auch irgendwie aufkommen,
aber so eine unangenehme, abgestandene Luft finde ich auf Dauer dann doch
irgendwie störend. Eine Angestellte bat uns drinnen
dann direkt zum Fotoshooting, das Foto konnte man dann am Ende des Besuchs
kaufen, was wir allerdings nicht getan haben. Fotos dürfen in dem Dungeon
allerdings nicht gemacht werden. Und so marschierten wir dann
der Reihe nach eine Station nach der anderen ab, immer hinter den vielen
Besuchern her Man durchläuft die
geschichtsträchtigen Jahre Englands zusammen mit Darstellern in Kostümen, die
einem dann ein bisschen was über die jeweilige Epoche erzählen, u. a. über den
großen Brand von London, der Pest oder Jack the Ripper Einmal durften wir dann auch
in kleine Bötchen steigen, um damit über die Themse in Richtung Traitors Gate
zu schippern und eine 5D-​Fahrt mit virtuellen Geistern unter Beschuss gibt’s
auch. Kommt man dann zu Sweeny Todd, darf man in einem dunklen Raum Platz
nehmen. Man sieht zwar nichts, aber es läuft ein Tonband mit Sweeny Todds
Stimme. Ganz zum Schluss werden die Besucher dann per Freefall gehängt. Kinder unter 12 wird das
Dungeon nicht empfohlen, aber es waren viele Kids weit unter 12 mit ihren
Eltern dabei, die sicherlich mehr Spaß hatten, als wir Erwachsene. Vielleicht waren wir einfach
enttäuscht vom Dungeon, weil wir mehr erwartet hatten und auch durch die
Vielfalt von Freizeitparks schon sehr verwöhnt sind. Bevor wir uns für den Besuch
des Dungeons entschieden hatten, hatten wir ein Mitarbeiter des London Experience
und London Tombs getroffen, der uns gleich sagte, dass das Dungeon nur etwas
für Kinder sei. Aber da überall Eintrittskarten dafür angeboten wurden, dachten
wir, wir müssten uns das Dungeon bei unserem Londonbesuch auch unbedingt noch
ansehen. Schade, die lange Wartezeit am
Eingang hatte auch nicht wirklich zur Verbesserung unserer Stimmung
beigetragen. Wir würden nicht wieder
hingehen, auch nicht nach Hamburg oder sonst wohin, weil’s überhaupt nicht
gruselig war und somit nicht das hält, was es verspricht. Muss man nicht
unbedingt gesehen haben. Da kann man seine Zeit in London besser nutzen, es
gibt dort ja soviel zu sehen.

Contexte: je me suis renseignée et on m’avait dit que le donjon de
Londres était un must à faire! Je me suis donc décidée à le faire! C’est
très facile d’accès: à 100m de la station de métro London Bridge.
Prix: 24£ pour un adulte
Attraction: après le paiement, on se
dirige vers la porte d’entrée de l’attraction et une personne est
chargée de prendre une photo de nous en mode décapitation.
Il n’y a
pas grand chose à dire mis à part que pendant environ 1h30, les horreurs passées et l’histoire
de Jack l’Éventreur sont racontées à travers des scènes de tortures
reconstituées par des mannequins qui né feraient même pas peur à mon frère de 6ans On se retrouve ensuite dans une salle
de tribunal et on comprend qu’on est l’
accusé Puis les assassinats perpétrés par Jack l’Éventreur rejouaient à travers
des ombres chinoises de piètre qualité. Un grand incendie est reconstitué à travers
quelques jeux de lumières jaune et orange. Et la cerise sur le gâteau,
on vit enfin notre exécution dans une pièce sans lumière en étant assis dans un ménage et qui fait mine de chuter pour reproduire la sensation de pendaison!
1h30 à suivre un circuit et commenté en anglais par un jeune guide vêtu pour l’occasion! On peut vraiment entrevoir de nombreuses scènes de tortures tout le long du circuit. Certes les situations en elles-​mêmes sont horribles car ce sont des scènes de torture mais elles étaient tellement de mauvaise qualité que c’était pitoyable à voir! Mais j’imagine que c’est peut-​être voulu car je né peux pas imaginer de telles scènes poussaient à l’extrême réalisme car ce serait trop choquant (Les enfants sont admis pour la visite)!
Note générale: perte de temps totale et surtout perte d’argent! 1h30 à marcher, écouter un guide et regarder des jeux de lumières pitoyables! SANS INTÉRÊT ET CHER! TRÈS CHER! Je suis obligée de mettre au minimum une étoile mais je m’en passerai bien!

Das Dungeon in London gefällt mir besser als in Hamburg, hier konnte man sich aufgrund von Überraschungsmomenten wenigstens noch ein bischen gruseln. Bei einer Hinrichtug mit der Guillotine ging kurz vor der Vollstreckung das Licht, das Fallbeil sauste ab und wir Zuschauer sind mit warmer Flüssigkeit (Wasser) benetzt worden. Wow was für ein Gequitsche.
Ich fand es dort sehr interessant, lustig und auch informativ und würde es gerne wieder besuchen.

Der Aufbau ähnelt zwar dem Dungeon in Hamburg in Amsterdam (die anderen habe ich noch nicht besucht)
Neben der Stadtgeschichte sind hier auch noch ein Spiegel-​labyrinth, eine kleine Wasserbahn, eine 5D Show und eine kleiner Free Fall Tower enthalten. Insgesamt dauert der Besuch ca 90 Minuten.
Da mein Besuch Ende Oktober war, war das Besprühen mit Wasser im Verlauf der Wasserbahn allerdings nicht so ganz angenehm, da meine Haare immer noch feucht waren als ich das Dungeons verlassen habe.
Wir waren relativ früh dort und mussten ca 15 Minuten warten, als wir wieder draußen waren, war die Warteschlange aber gut doppelt so lang geworden. Die Stoßzeiten sollte man also wohl besser meiden.
Da die Mitarbeiter/​Darsteller ihr Vorträge natürlich auf englisch halten und sich zudem um einen alt-​englischen Akzent bemühen, kann es für Kinder und Leute mit schlechteren Englischkenntnissen unter Umständen schwer sein alles zu verstehen.
Die Eintrittspreise sind zwar gesalzen, aber es gibt viele 20% Rabatt Coupons im Internet und an diversen Broschoren. Außerden gibt es diverse Angebote mit reduzierten Preisen, wenn man auch noch Madame Tussauds oder Lodon Eye besuchen will.
ADAC Mitglieder bekommen bei Vorlage des Mitgliedskarte allerdings 2 Karten zum Preis von einer, was wesentlich günstiger ist als andere Rabattmöglickeiten.
Damit bezahlt man als Erwachsener nicht mal 12 Pfund Eintritt.
Den Shop am Ausgang und die überteuerten Fotos, die es von der Hinrichtung am Eingang und dem Freefalltower gibt, sollte man sich aber wohl eher sparen.
Fazit: einen Besuch wert!

Teuer und Warteschlangen wie fast überall in London, aber ziemlich sehenswert. Perfekt für einen Regentag, scheint die Sonne, gibt es sicher Alternativen. Für Kinder (nicht zu klein) ein Muß, sie können sich hier schön gruseln. Für mich eine echte Alternative zu Madame Tussaud.

Ja, kann man sich auf jeden Fall mal anschauen. Ist aber nichts für schwache Nerven, da schon einige Schocker auf den Besucher warten. Vor allem weil man hier «von Hand» erschreckt wird, wodurch teilweise wirklich sehr skurrile Situationen entstehen.
Alles in Allem sehenswert, auch bei einem zweiten Besuch. Auch wenn der Preis und die Wartezeiten schon echt heftig sind.

Man sollte sich vorher überlegen, ob man da wirklich seine kleineren Kinder mit reinschleppen will. Mir ist das nur so nebenbei aufgefallen, dass manche Kinder fröhlich quietschten vor Spaß und andere schon diesen leicht apathisch-​traumatisierten Blick hatten. Wobei man sagen muss, die Dungeon ist noch ziemlich «familiär», vor ein paar Jahren wurde ja ein Gruselkabinett gegenüber vom BigBen aufgemacht, wo man wirklich erst ab 18J reinkommt (und natürlich nur ohne Herzklappenfehler usw.).
FAZIT: Ich würde sagen, höchstens ab 12 Jahren … davor könnte es schon kritisch werden.

Auch deutsche Schüler-​/​Studenten-​/​Auszubildenenausweise werden akzeptiert, unbedingt mitnehemen!
Ach ja… und man sollte unbedingt früh kommen denn sonst kann die Warteschlange extreme Längen annehmen (weswegen schon mal ein paar Monster aus der Dungeon ans Tageslicht treten und die wartenden mit Blut beschmaddern)
Und ja, der Eintritt ist nicht billig, aber man sollte es unbedingt 1x in seinem Leben mitgemacht haben.

Ce musée qui se veut être un circuit de l’horreur procure bien l’effet escompté. Tout d’abord, le prix: 17 livres par personne! Vous en attrapez presque une heart attack! Les attractions: différentes salles représentant des scènes d’horreur, illustrées par des mannequins en plastique dont les finitions sont mauvaises (mon petit frère fait mieux avec ses théâtres de marionnettes), puis, la petite histoire de Jack l’éventreur illustrée par une séance d’ombres chinoises dont le comédien, certainement débutant et mal payé, effectue sa prestation à la hauteur de son salaire. En plus, la seule attraction qui aurait pu être intéressante (petit train fantôme) était en panne le jour de ma venue!

Der London Dungeon ist ein Gruselkabinett unter dem Bahnhof London Bridge.
Im London Dungeon arbeiten viele Schauspieler, die verkleidet als Monster oder in ähnlich schrecklichen Kostümen die Besucher erschrecken. Deshalb ist der Eintritt für jüngere Kinder wenig geeignet, da vieles sehr grausam dargestellt wird.

Se encuentra en la zona de Southwark, en una calle paralela al recorrido del Támesis: nada más llegar, de lejos, comienzan a verse antorchas que indican que, efectivamente, estamos llegando a las mazmorras de Londres!
Normalmente suele haber cola para entrar en esta atracción, que cuenta con delegaciones en otras ciudades como Edinburgo. Cuando yo lo visité estaban comenzando a promocionar los ‘paseos nocturnos’: no se trata de visitas por la noche, sino de alargar el horario de apertura durante un par de horas más en verano, de forma que puede visitarse hasta las 10 de la noche. Esto está muy bien ya que, como hacia las 8 los museos ya no pueden visitarse, se puede acabar el día con una actividad de este tipo.
The London Dungeons resultan muy caros, así que hay que ir preparado para aflojar unas 15 libras a la entrada. Eso sí, si disfrutais pasando miedito, no os decepcionará ya que las ‘exposiciones’ tratan temas macabros de la historia inglesa, la ambientació es totalmente creíble y los actores del espectáculo son totalmente profesionales y no sonríen ni una pizca! Eso sí, todo el recorrido en inglés chicos. Aunque el miedo no tiene idioma

Also das London Dungeon war echt der hammer.
Für mich als ein Mensch der manchmaL ziehmlich schreckhaft ist, war es teilweise nicht mehr auszuhalten
doch am Ende haben uns die Lehrer die gute stimmung versaut. :(
Aber ansonsten ist es nur empfehlenstwert.

London dungeon unterscheidet sich nicht wirklich von dem in Hamburg.
Durch Schauspieler und Tonbandansagen wird man in das alte London zurückversetzt.
Man läuft durch verschiedene Räume, es wird von Schauspielern so einiges erzählt. Es wird versucht, ein Teil der Londoner Geschichte zu rekonstruieren. Es riecht leicht moderig in den Räumen. Eine schöné Touristenattraktion welche man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte, aber wie eben in London so üblich, nicht wirklich ein Schnäppchen.
Auch hier ist meist eine lange Warteschlange, sodass es sich empfielt, vorher für pre-​paid Tickets zu sorgen.

Ich hatte Freikarten für das Dungeon und bin nur deshalb reingegangen. Es war unter der Woche und somit hatten wir Glück, dass es nicht so voll war.
Meine Vorstellungen vom Dungeon waren allerdings andere. Ich dachte, ich kann mir hier Dinge in Ruhe ansehen und mich gruseln ;o). Es war aber eine Führung mit ca. 30 Personen. Man wurde durch die Gänge durchgeschleust. Dazu wurde die Geschichte von London zu Jack the Ripper erzählt/​dargestellt. Naja, fand ich ganz nett, aber ich denke dafür wäre es wirklich zu teuer.
Die Luft ist leider sehr schlecht, wie bereits von anderen hier geschrieben wurde. Es mag mit Kids recht lustig sein, einfach als Alternative zu Museen bei schlechtem Wetter. Ansonsten hat man nichts verpasst, denn über die Geschichte von London erfährt man hier nur wenig, es ist doch recht oberflächlich.

Okay, gruseln ist immer so eine Sache — ich gebe 3 Sterne –mehr leider nicht, obwohl meine Frau wirklich zuckte…
Ich finde die Preise überhöht, okay, es ist London. Das eine
oder andere ist ja nett anzusehen, aberich weiß nicht.
Gehört m.E. zu den nicht unbedingt to dos in London.

Ich war nur meiner Tochter zuliebe drin, es ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes FÜRCHTERLICH, leider nicht gruselig. Ewige lange Wartezeit, völlig überzogene Eintrittspreise, Gedränge im Innern, katastrophale Luftbedingungen (mehrere Leute haben sich übergeben), langweilige Ausstellung (jede Gruselbahn auf der Kirmes ist besser) — man sollte es meiden, meiden, meiden

Sicherlich einen Besuch wert– aber eben nur den einen! Als ich zum Ersten Mal dort war, konnte man dort noch recht freizügig rumlaufen. Mittlerweile ist es aber so, das es so eine Art Führung ist, bei der man in mehr oder weingen kleinen Gruppen dort durchgeschoben wird. Für mich das London Dungeon leider seinen beosnderen Reiz verloren.
Wer in der Hauptsaison anreist: Bitte vieeeeeel Zeit mitbringen;
die Wartezeit vor dem Dungeon kann schon mal recht lang sein

Ebenfalls wie das in Hamburg befindliche Dungeon einen Besuch wert. Im Gegensatz zu Hamburg aber wesentlich gruseliger und größer, dafür auch noch ein bisschen teurer. Das doch sehr eindrucksvoll gestaltete Horrorkabinett vermittelt wirklich gut die «dunkle» Geschichtsseite Londons. Wenn man aus der U-​Bahn Station kommt ist es gleich um die Ecke, jedoch leicht zu übersehen!
Wirklich lohnenswert, spannend und aufwändig gemacht!

Im Prinzip nichts anderes als eine größere Version von Madam
Tussaud‘s Horrorabteilung, ist dieses Museum vor allem bei den Kindern beliebt. Illustriert werden nur die bludrüngstigsten Momente der britischen Geschichte. Schreie und Stöhnen begleiten die Menschenopfer-​Zeremonie in Stonehenge; Anne Boleyn wird auf Geheiß ihres Gemahls Heinrich VIII hingerichtet; Menschen die an der Pest starben, die 1665 in London wütete. Folter, Mord und Hexerei vervollständigen das blutige Spektakel. Ein Besuch Wert, aber nicht ganz billig Je nach Jahreszeit müssen Erwachsene bis zu 20 eng. Pfund hinblättern .
Übrigens gibt es auch in Hamburg ein Ableger des Dungeon.
