Very cool, old-school building that’s been a fixture so long that the tiles are worn down in the doorway and at the counter by generations of visitors. It’s mostly snacky-stuff… cakes, salads, teas, coffee. I had a mini quiche which was decent but nothing special. The biggest selling point here is the character of the place. Eat and drink here… use Starbucks for their bathroom and wifi.

Uli’s W1 adventure continues… today I’m reporting live from The Old Dairy Café in Fitzrovia. While this place also serves the usual sandwich/panini(boring) grub, I’m excited to tell you that they also do a fantastic Spanish omelette, served with some healthy side salads. Their quiches looked quite nice too and I saw a few local coming in darting right towards the home-made lasagna. The Old Dairy Café is nothing fancy — in fact, I’m actually quite surprised how laid back it is, given this location.(Usually I find Fitzrovia/Marylebone businesses to dress up too much.)
