A local pub for local people, with all the good and bad points that statement can suggest.
If you live nearby, don’t be scared. Go in respectfully and don’t act like you own the place, and once the regulars accept you it’s not as nasty as it looks. A definite community pub.
And If you don’t live nearby… what the hell are you doing here anyway?

A pub for the locals, but with a classic East end interior it has a good degree of charm. Not too expensive. The sort of place you can go for a quiet pint with friends.
