The Queens Arms

Food is good but they don’t seem to change their menu very often. Good Sunday roasts and good atmosphere. It is a good local pub, that can always be relied on for food.

I’ve been to this pub quite a few times over the past year, and have always felt impressed by the look of the place.
Big Leather sofas and armchairs, big wooden tables, big clean wooden bar — you get the idea. The wine list is interesting and good, and bar snacks likewise (Breads, Olives and Hummus is always a winner). The pub quiz on a monday night is good fun and always popular.
Upstairs, you’ve got a dining area, where I’ve once eaten on a Sunday. Whilst it was fairly good, we felt pretty isolated on the mezzanine level and the food itself was a little disappointing. I mean to go again to discover whether I experienced a bad day, but for now my tip would be tuck into a delicious bottle of wine and a burger in the more comfortable downstairs.
