Highly recommended by friend in florida. Great atmosphere. Good service. Food was excellent but got same quality food at 1⁄3 price later in trip. Bring your wallet. I understand food is expensive in london but this seemed steep.

Great tasting Indian food in soho. The biryani is excellent and the chicken curries fantastic.

Maybe 3 ½ stars. Good Indian food, creative menu but eclectic, can be difficult to match the description in the menu with the dish that arrives on the table. Ask lots of questions. Service was very good and attentive. Portions are small, especially rice and naan which you will pay extra for. Prices are not ridiculous but a bit high for what is presented.

Chic, stylist and attendant service, well seasoned and sophisticated mains and a dance floor in the basement to boot. It may not have a Michelin star, but it’s very very good. The tandoori prawns were seasoned so well, yet brought forth the sweetness of the sea. The Meethi Aalo was a surprise hit and I have to say it was the most expensive, but tasty potato dish I have ever had. A must visit especially if you can snag a big Unilocal discount coupon for checking in.

Whenever I’m in London this is where I head. I am there at least four times in the two weeks that I found myself there on business. It’s just that good. The staff is very friendly and the food is just soon good.

Very good Indian food. A reasonable amount of options and well executed. We got a variety of meat and veg options and shared them. Decently priced for London’s west end. I’d come back.

Excellent dishes. Everything was fresh and of the highest quality. The wine selection was nicely varied, and we enjoyed the best Chardonnay in London here. Be prepared to pay for every single item.

Wow — I always like to gauge an Indian restaurant by it’s Chicken Tiki Masala and these folks are at the top of the charts. The only complaint was their attempt at a wine list. They also only have one beer. But, at the end of the day I’m there for the food. Will re-visit next time in town.

I think I really had the best Indian food in The Red Fort in Soho since the last time I was in India. The dishes are just like I remember the Indian food in the better restaurants in India. For example the Bhalla Sev Puri starter is a very Indian vegetarian starter. it is some kind of dumpling with yoghurt and puffs filled with potato, mint & tamarind chutney and it was really great, as was the seekh kebab(clearly non-veg). As mains we shared Chicken Tikka and a gravy/tomato sauce chicken dish Dum Kha Murgh with some butter naan and I loved it. Being a kind of fancy restaurant we had an excellent wine with the food. I guess this is not the most economic Indian restaurant in London but off course you can consider yourself warned while entering through the door covered in Michelin stickers.

I“ve had better at a take-away. In fact, I’ve not had as bad at a take-away. Service was terrible, food was incredibly boring. I was sad to waste my night in London on this restaurant.

I admit that I went to Red Fort only because the line at Dishoom was ~2 hours; the first hour standing outside before you could even get to the bar for a drink! However it has always been on my list of upscale Indian restaurants I have wanted to try. The food was an interesting combination of dishes I know and love(and cook), like the Bhuna Gosht, and new items, like the scallop appetizer. My overall impression was that the food as very tasty and the level of service very good. I would definitely recommend it and would definitely go back.

I had been coming to Red fort for a few times as it’s less cumbersome to eat alone here vs many michelin star Indian restaurants in London. So I decided to run an experiment. Ok, I ate at Benares yesterday and it was awesome — no freaking complaints. They had amazing Jumbo Shrimps, Seekh Kebabs etc. Their Lamb main course was so good that I thought it was from another universe. I decided to eat dinner in Red Fort today so that I could compare. Ordered almost the same dishes and I was blown away. Their food was better, slightly! They work harder. That said, the ladies in Benares are more pleasing on the eyes ;)

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. Food was perfectly spiced, ordered many different apps, main courses and veggie side dishes, all cooked well. Some standouts for the starters: — softshell crab appetizer — selection platter(for 2) — seekh kabob Great main courses & sides: — Prawn lime-leaf — Hyderbadi bhuna gosht(lamb) — Awadhi hiran(venison) — Methi aloo Of course a selection of rice, naan and papadams.

Sensational! Never has food tasted so delicious — takes«finger licking good» to a whole new level. Where to begin — upon entering the the restaurant, you’re greeted by a friendly team of staff(always a bonus). The interior has a cool modern vibe, yet a comfy feel. The cocktails are to die for! — A bomb of flavour that is so more ish, you’ll definitely want to have more than one. For starters I went for monk fish — best starter ever! I opted for a lamb bryani(super generous portion — I wish I ordered it to share). By far the best food I’ve ever experienced. I must say, being a high profile place it is a «splash the cash» kind of restaurant — but worth every penny! I’d highly recommend eating here — I’ll certainly be making a return visit.

A definite recommendation to dine at Fort Red for Indian cuisine. Located in the fringe of Soho, Fort Red is surprisingly beautifully laid out and decorated. The food is outstanding and service(wait staff, sommelier) impeccable. My colleagues and I ordered the special of the day consisting of four appetizers(prawns, scallop, chicken, vegetarian dish), four entrees(chicken, lamb, lentil, sea bass), and dessert(mango sherbet) — every dish teased our palate and teased our senses. The sommelier recommended a white(Pinot) that complemented our meal. London is renowned for its Indian cuisine, Fort Red lives up to the hype and a definite must visit again.

This so far has been our best meal of our European vacation. The north Indian fare at this restaurant was excellent. The flavors were so complex and layers upon layers; there were wonderful things to find in each dish. The names to the dishes were not familiar to me but we selected the pre-theather fixed menus composed of a chicken, lamb and vegetarian curry. Excellent is the only word that comes to mind. It’s been 7 days since that meal and I still think about it. Should I ever find myself in London again, I will surely find my way back to this restaurant.

To use the vernacular«Amazeballs». This is not your typical Indian restaurant menu in either the content or the delivery. We had some kind of mushroom appetizer that we ordered three more plates of, but everything came up promptly, hot, well presented and delicious. There’s some kind of nightclub downstairs that is kind of lame, but you’re in the heart of SoHo, so you can’t really go wrong there. Total thumbs up and will be on my regulars for London

Located near/in London Chinatown. Quiet and smallish inside, the staff was friendly. The tikka masala was delish, tandoori juicy and Malai kofta spot on. Can’t wait to go back again!
