My friend and I went for a massage and both didn’t enjoy it at all. The massage wasn’t professional and the room was not very clean and super small.

This was definitely one of the worst waxing place i have ever been to. Given that the waxer was nice it was a horrible job. I came in for a hollywood wax and there were so many things wrong with it. It was unsanitary as she double dipped the wax. The process was much longer then it should had been, it was painful as she kept reapplying wax, she had stripped my skin for about five times until I had enough. What makes it worse was there was still so many hairs that was left behind honestly, it was the equivalent of a do it at home job. It was very rough, unsanitary, and i even left with a puddle of sticky wax on my skin. Even if there is a deal offered its seriously not worth the stress or experience.

I got a bikini wax here via a Groupon deal. The booking process was fairly straightforward, I called and got an appointment one hour later.(I didn’t experience any online misrepresentation/harassment as the previous reviewers alluded to – it’s possible that their customer service is just inconsistent.) Be warned — they primarily use strip wax here. They use hard wax for larger surface areas, but soft wax with strips for smaller patches of skin. They keep the soft wax quite hot — hotter than any other place I’ve experienced so far. The technician got all the hair off, but… just didn’t seem to be that good at her job, for lack of more elegant phrasing. She had to go over certain parts multiple times to get all the stray hairs, and by the end it left my skin raw and in more pain than I’m used to. I’ve been getting waxed for several years now and have developed a fairly high pain tolerance for it, and there’s no getting around the fact that waxing is gonna hurt, but more skilled technicians try to go over each patch of skin only once with the wax, instead of ripping up layers and layers of skin. I think there’s something off about the soft wax product they use, maybe it just didn’t work well for me. On the bright side(if this is your thing), the Hollywood wax includes a buttock strip which in the states is often extra. Also, I wasn’t impressed with how the technician tried to sell me other services while she was waxing me. Some small-talk is okay by me, but it’s just plain awkward when I’m laying on your table spread-eagle and you’re giving me a sales pitch. Three stars because it was easy and efficient to get an errand out of the way early on a weekday, but the actual waxing service left a lot to be desired.

Updating my prior review(you can still read it below), I could not believe it!!!: — Got contacted by both Lucy S. and Rose D. working for Roseberry Rooms for a complimentary treatment further to my review below. I thought«good customer service»… until I noticed they both posted Unilocal fake(filtered) reviews pretending being happy customers having the best experience of their lives! Eek! — I thought«fine, they’re trying hard to make it work, let’s give them another chance». As offered, I wanted to make an appointment for another experience. Their reply: OK but«Also, I would request and appreciate if you can edit your review on Unilocal for the Rosebery Rooms. Looking forward to your reply.» Whaaat?! Creepy. I felt very uncomfortable booking another session, even a FREE one. When it comes to massage/spa businesses, I expect a minimum of staff integrity. Would you trust someone to put cream on your face whilst knowing all the above?

I’ve updated my original review(below) because, since using the products I was recommended at my facial, my skin has gotten worse, not better! My skin is normally very healthy and clear, and since using the recommended products has become increasingly imbalanced, with blemishes appearing when they never did before. I had an email from the Kumari Club asking why I hadn’t been back since June, and asking if I had any feedback. When I replied and explained why I hadn’t been back, giving them the feedback they asked for, they didn’t even acknowledge the email. Poor performance all around. Definitely not recommended. Original review posted 10÷06÷12: I went to the Kumari Club through a Living Social voucher and was pleasantly surprised. The place itself could use a little TLC, but the facial was fantastic. My therapist was friendly, professional and knowledgable. After my Dermalogica facial, my skin was glowing and hydrated. She recommended some great products based specifically on my skin, and there was no pressure to purchase at the end of the appointment. I only gave 3 stars because It’s not the most relaxing /luxurious facial I’ve had, and at full price it’s a little expensive considering the surrounding. But it certainly did the job of getting my skin in shape — if they spruce up the place that rating would quickly increase!
