I give five stars for value, especially when faced with pubs which shamefully charge almost £5 a pint. The Sir Michael Balcon is a perfectly comfortable wetherspoons which has I’m glad to see become a bit more scuffed around the edges. I had a fantastic two pints of Rogue ale, which, at 6% left me decidedly squiffy. We also had the 8oz rump steak and chips and an apple pie to finish. To get a free beer or wine when paying under £10 for a steak meal is insanely good value. How was it? For the price, perfectly good. I like variety in pubs so don’t want to visit a ‘spoons all the time, but I doff my proverbial cap to their single handed effort to keep pubs alive and provide such brilliant value.

It’s a weatherspoons. Cheap and cheerful, staff are always efficient, preferred it back in the days of Crispins but oh well. Weekends for sure staff card you so make sure you have some ID. Some covered outdoor seating in the front and a reasonable amount of seating inside. Acoustics of this place are bloody noisy

I’ve found the service to be of pretty high standards whenever I’ve visited The Sir Michael Balcon aka Wetherspoons. The drinks prices are extremely competitive and service is efficient and with a smile. The door staff are professional and friendly and use discretion when ID-ing people, i.e. if you look under 25, bring ID. I’ve never been ID-ed and nor have most of my pals when we’ve met up here. We had a few get togethers just before Christmas and the atmosphere was great. The bar food is very reasonably priced with a good selection available and they serve till about 10ish which is handy if you’re feeling peckish after a few drinks. They’re open till midnight and don’t play any sort of music(probably fairly standard with Wetherspoons pubs as far as I know). There is seating outside which is handy in the summer and for smokers. The toilets are checked regularly although they’re up a flight of stairs and I’m not sure what facilities there may be for disabled customers(I’ve never thought to ask to be honest). Be careful if you’re driving, you can park on the single yellow line directly outside the pub ater 6.30pm but be wary of the single yellow lines on the road directly opposite the pub as you can’t park at any time as a few friends of mine found out recently getting back to their car and finding a parking ticket on.

Ok this is JD wetherspoons, close to the tube in fact waliking distance and i had heels on. I love this place its situated on the Mall Ealing and its easy to miss, but it’s a lovely pub, there is space outside and its undercover so even if it rains your ok. So inside plenty of tables for eating, its cosy and the atmoshere was really nice. The staff were fantastic didn’t mind taking photos, and the manageress was great helpful, smiling even asking customers if everything was ok, In fact ALL the staff were brilliant and friendly and ready to accommodate you when ordering food. The prices great, drinks cheap, food delicious well cooked, and the warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream was to die for(WOW). i would go again anytime, and if your in the area this pub is a must, so go on give it a visit you won’t be dissapointed.

A nice little pub this Wetherspoon in the heart of Ealing Broadway with a usual traditional mixed with a modern feel to it I found, atmosphere was very nice and warm staff were also pretty helpful and lastly the food was nice certainly would say if your that side Ealing this pub is definately worth popping into and as usual with it being a Wetherspoon it’s doesn’t break the bank drink & food wise.

It may be a Weatherspoon’s, but, they are family friendly and budget conscious. 2 adults and 2 kids fed and sated for under 20 quid! that included 4 beers :) It’s not always about the fancy places… lol Sunday lunch at Weatherspoon’s. Great food, great beer and it won’t break the bank. Please sir, can I have another?

Some good points, some not so good. Can’t argue with the prices, 99p for IPA for goodness sake ! Done out quite nicely and nice seating areas. Impressive bar area and seem to stock about everything. Maybe am getting old, but a bit too clinical maybe for my liking, no real atmoshere and has attracted all the old piss heads from years ago who until it opened last year couldn’t afford to drink at Ealing prices. Ok for an hour or 2 if nothing better to do but plenty of better pubs within 5⁄10 minutes walk.

I am not a massive fan of JD Wetherspoon pubs, but this place is great. It only opened recently and therefore is immaculate throughout and there were plent of people eating in there(on a Tuesday evening) so I would imagine that the foods pretty good. What really impressed me was the cost of the drinks. The average price of a pint of premium lager has long been over £3.25 in west london, so imagine my delight at purchasing 1 pint of 1664, 1 pint of Abots ale and 2 glasses of dry white wine and getting change out of £10. This place is a cracking venue at the moment and I really hope it stays that way, but I do fear that it will become like nearly all the other JD’s and become a meeting place for ner-do-wells. If you’re in W5, check it out now, whilst it’s still new!

A very good Wetherspoons for food, they do particularly great breakfasts for this chain pub. The service was excellent, customer service was clearly a priority for them. Newly renovated, it is still a clean and well looked after pub. Still good prices.
