My friends and I went here for a nice relaxing evening drink and ended up having a pretty crazy night, but that is another story. The Slug and Lettuce is a good place to get cheap and strong cocktails in a fun atmosphere that is great for groups. However, the service was absolutely atrocious though. We got there around 8pm and they tried to kick us out an hour before closing time. It was ridiculous. The two servers left tried turning off the lights and eventually told us that we needed to finish our drinks and get out. Needless to say, they didn’t get a tip. Being a server, I understand that it can be frustrating when people stay longer that you want them to, but that is just part of the job and to be expected. I could understand if it was past closing time, but it was far from it. These girls just seemed to want to start their own night out and weren’t going to let us get in the way of it. Other than the lousy service, the Slug and Lettuce was a good pick, I might check out some of the other locations to see if they have better service.
