The hotel staff and service are wonderful. Staff opens door, smiles at you, always looking for ways to help you. The café where I had my breakfast was excellent. The manager(did not catch his name), he works in the morning and he is German I believe, is an excellent hospitable man. He engages with the guest, he makes friends. We chatted on the third day. The staff at the café is excellent, breakfast options is outstanding. Breakfast is pricy like all of London. Rooms were very comfortable, cleaning crew, have done a great job to make me feel at home, they kept it, neat and tide. Hotel is location is perfect. It’s on Piccadilly street. Lots of activities and sights seen around it. You can walk from there to Piccadilly square, we walked to Holland and Holland, we walked to Harrods shopping mall. I walked everywhere, and if you want to take a taxi, they are around and not very expensive to get to your distention. 15 minutes from the Paddington central station to take the train to Heathrow Int’l airport. Be aware of the laundry service, they are sky high. I did make a mistake by getting a jacket and shirt pressed, it chose me 22EP. That’s is crazy. I enjoyed it and will be back.

Went once before to Theo’s restaurant in early 2015 and even back then the food and décor was nice!, now reopened in February 2016 after being closed for 6 weeks of renovation work to the restaurant the place is even better than last time, seems more spacious and lighting is really good to give that subtle moods to the evenings, anyway on to the good bit I had Scallops for starters and they were really nice and quite large and had the Roe(the orange part) still on them which most restaurants remove, then onto mains, I had a 12oz Steak which was so nice and tender and cooked to perfection was exactly how I like my steaks, for dessert I had Chocolate cake which was brought out on a nice white plate with wording ‘Happy Birthday’ around the plate in chocolate sauce also the chocolate cake was very scrumptious! I’m definitely going back to The Intercontinental Hotel @ Park Lane where the restaurant is based, again very good value for money with excellent waiter service and if Theo is not busy in the kitchen he will come out and say hello as he works mostly everyday at the restaurant.

Theo Randall is celebrating 10 years(2016) of service at The Intercontinental with a brand new refurbishment and updated menu. The décor is so much lighter and makes the restaurant seem a lot bigger and no more tablecloths instead nice wooden tables which brings the whole restaurant to a new modern style. The food as always is a high quality all fresh and full of flavour. Theo as always was a pleasure to meet as he always greets his regulars /fans(like me) he is such a nice man. I highly recommend to anyone that wants a fresh meal and high quality in flavour.

I have eaten here a couple of times and each time it has been good. Nice food and good service at a reasonable price. It does somehow come across slightly sterile to me, lacking atmosphere and a sense of feeling compared to other places I have been. Very worth a visit for the food however.

Great fresh modern Italian, loved the salumi platter, mozzarella, pepper risotto, veal capaletti and lemon tart. Beautiful restaurant/bar and friendly staff. Expensive though, about $ 100 per person.

As good as it gets for rustic Italian food but with modern unpretentious service. Everything from the minute you walk in till you leave is service at its best. Been half dozen times and will continue… if only I lived nearer.

In for dinner on April 10th ’15. Treated with proseco to begin and warm bruschetta which was very good. Ordered the squid and salami appetizers; Salami was terrific but squid was over-cooked and tough. Rack of lamb for main course was delicious and lemon tart was best I’ve ever had. Ordered Poggio 2008 wine, which was nice but not worth the 500% markup from retail. Overall this is a great restaurant with professional servers and definitely recommended for value in Mayfair.

Ye Gods, this was a great meal. We came in in a deal they had, basically a three course meal with a free glass of prosecco. Sometimes you get treated a bit shabby when you have a voucher but that wasn’t the case here. The service was impeccable, including a very friendly and knowledgable sommelier. As to the food, we were both very happy with everything. The highlight was my papparadelle with slow cooked beef. It was perfectly al dente and frankly it was a perfect plate of pasta. The salmon was also excellent; well executed and flavourful. My only complaint was that the décor was nice but a bit boring. It’s a hotel so you expect that but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 5 start review.

After much debate on where to go for some good Italian we finally all agreed to head to Theo Randall for dinner this past Sunday night. Ambiance: Very pretty restaurant, classy, quiet vibe. Service: Everyone was very friendly and chatty. The food took FOREVER to come out though, hence why I knocked off a star. I’m all for fine dining but I’m talking an hour here, which is kind of crazy. Food: Excellent. The complimentary bruschetta and foccacia was delicious. I had the scallops/monkfish brochette and it was delicious. My husband had the lobster spaghetti and it was fantastic. My in-laws had the veal and sea bass and had nothing but good things to say. The side of spinach was delicious but the side of mashed potatoes was swimming in butter so I avoided that. Due to the very late dinner we didn’t have time to test out the dessert. Bottom Line: Great food but expect a long dinner and a large bill.

Ordered: Prix Fixe — Risotto di Mare, Guinea Fowl, and Tiramisu Price: £27 for 2 courses, £33 for three Review: The first time I came here back in 2010 — I was pretty disappointed! I think I must have come on a bad night as there was clearly a lack of clients, and perhaps that played against their favour… HOWEVER, this time around, I went in a group, and the food had clearly improved and it was bustling!!! The Risotto di Mare was just right — eating rice for my whole life… trust me — I know good rice. lol. The Guinea Fowl — was also pleasantly larger in portion than E[x](expected), juicy, and tender… couldn’t have asked for a more reasonably priced meal!!!

Came here last Thursday evening. The restaurant is located directly to the left of the main hotel entrance. It was reasonably empty at 8pm but did fill up quite nicely. It is a large rectangular room, and dark. Perhaps it looks bright and airy during the day. As you’d expect for a hotel restaurant, it’s quite upscale. The service was very good, attentive and deferential. The food was excellent; Italian at its best. The calamari starter was the tastiest I had ever had. I would go back just for that. The veal-filled pasta was delicious but I should really have gone for the starter portion; there was a lot of it. The hazelnut ice cream was divine. Wine was also good. The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is the total lack of atmosphere. However I’ll be back and maybe I’ll bring my atmosphere with me!

Headline: Best food I have ever eaten in London. Period. Yes, that is a bold claim — the best? Two five-star meals in one weekend? First, the deal — 27GBP per person for two courses plus a glass of good prosecco. Add another 10GBP for a glass of red and white wine. Add another 6GBP for a third course. For this place, it’s cheap. Normally, I would save this place for a special occasion. Those prices made it special. The restaurant itself is inside the InterContinental, just off the lobby. It’s upscale contemporary design is pleasing. It’s quiet. It serves Italian food. Outside of Italy, I have never had better. The Anguilla Affumicata was reminiscent of sashimi — thinly sliced eel with a nice sauce lightly drizzled over and a small salad on the side. The Salmone Arrosto was a perfectly cooked salmon filet with roasted tomato pieces, fennel and capers — perfectly balanced and delicious. I finished with the orange and honey cakes, which had half a roasted pear and crème fraiche that reminded me more of devon clotted cream than anything else. Overall, this was a magnificent meal and I highly recommend that you try this restaurant if you get a deal on the meal.

This is certainly a special occasion spot. Our bill for 4 people was 385GBP. That said it was quite enjoyable. The cappelletti appetizer was beautifully prepared with amzing bouquet of herbs to complement the perfectly cooked pasta. For the main, 3 of us had sea bass(branzino), which was done perfectly. My only criticism is the pricing of the wine list. We opted for the 2010 Fattoria Le Terrazze, Rosso Conero Marche, which can be had for $ 17 in the US. at 48GBP, that translates to $ 72 or a 400% markup. ouch!

I had not heard much about this place, but was looking for an italian place with some really classy food. And boy, was I positively surprised. This restaurant is really just sublime — everything from the food to the service. From the amazing amuse-bouche to the dessert. It’s probably the best italian I ever have had in London. Just awesome. Food was superb, very delicate Italian, full of flavour, perfectly done. The tagliatelle was just perfectly seasoned. Portions were very large(maybe even way too large). Go there hungry, I had problem finishing the main(parma-stuffed guine fowl) despite how good it was as was full-up. Attention to detail flowed through everything. Even the bread was superb, it’s hard to explain how you can make a focaccia this good. The service was exceptional; again by far the best I have had this year. Super-attentive without being too much, just amazing service from everyone. The space is great for a business dinner or a romantic date, as there’s good room between the tables allowing for private conversations, and despite being quite full there is no noise, so it’s a very comfortable environment for talking. Warmly recommended.

The worst experience in a restaurant in London. Ever. After 2 years in London, enjoying ourselves in many good restaurants, we ended up leaving a restaurant after 20 minutes… Upon arrival at the restaurant we were greeted and seated without any problems. After 5 minutes of no attention whatsoever, a guy came and left two menus. 5 minutes later another guy came and left a plate with two pieces of bruschetta(perfect) and two pieces of focaccia(OKish). We asked for tap still water, a bottle of Acqua Panna came. Since it was after 9pm, we asked to see their after theatre menu which was better value and actually more attractive to us. The guy said he will bring it and he did so, only to tell us that normally that is available after 9:30pm, but he is doing us a favour(not true signore). The final blow came by some kind of manager of the restaurant, who squeezed himself between our table and the next table(practically putting his ass on the table). The dude remained there for 10 minutes trying to convince the poor tourists to have a dessert, explaining in between what a tiramisu is(btw, is there anyone who doesn’t know what a tiramisu is?). It was that point where we decided that we had enough and just left. That caused some attention in the staff, so the manager came and tried to calm us down by offering dessert! For god’s sake, I have just arrived 20 minutes ago and I am leaving, how on earth is a bloody tiramisu going to help? In summary, the worst service we have ever seen in London. Totally disrespectful to the customers and the food(which we were really looking forward to for some time).

We came here with a couple of our friends who are seasoned diners. They have been here before and it came with their recommendation. It’s high class with food, service and atmosphere to match. It’s a restaurant that you need to dress up to visit. We each got a complimentary glass of prosecco when we were seated at our table, which I thought was a nice touch. We each chose from the menu where you could have 3 dishes for 29 pounds. Some of the dishes had supplement charges, like the medium rare beef sirloin, which 3 out of the 4 of us had. The food was simple but rich flavours; I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had pappardelle for my starter — the sauce was tasty and the pasta was just the right firmness. My main of beef sirloin was well cooked, and went well with the potatoes, eggplant(aubergine) and spinach. My partner’s beef was a little overdone though. I enjoyed my dessert of lemon and orange cakes with cream — it rounded the meal off well for me. The service was attentive, although we seemed a little forgotten towards the end when we were ready to order our dessert. The bill was approx 50 pounds overstated, but it was easy to explain this and have it corrected. I would be happy to go back here as a treat.

#Yelp #Yelp36526 — Our evening started off with beverages in the bar of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and the drink variety was fruitful. Not being a seafood eater or meat on the bone, I was concerned that my food options would be limited. The food they prepared, from salad to entrée was very good. Our waitress was on top of the table of 6, and we never once had to ask for a refill of anything. Just keep in mind it is quite expensive for a night out, and for 6 with alcohol, expect a very large bill.

Very good, but i do not think it is worth the £££ unless on an expense account, which about 80+% of the patrons seemed to be in. Toptable promotion allowed for £25 two course selection, or £29 three course selection. The servings are huge enough that 3 might just be one too much. I had the guinea fowl, and my dinner companion had the seafood risotto. The guinea fowl was succulent stuffed with mascarpone and pancetta, and the seafood risotto was one overcrowded seafood dish. NO complaining. Course two was dessert, and I was the oooohing tester of the pannacotta with rum soaked plums and toasted hazelnuts… this was to die for, and a meal in itself… although i am used to the pannacotta being slightly more elastic in nature… this one gave in at first spoon attack. The lemon tart(that i hear they’re famous for) is nice as well, however not a big fan of lemon tart(in general) let’s just say that it left a sour taste in my mouth, but the comment from the«liking» party was that it was truly divine. The server brings a little plate of complimentary bruschetta and focaccia bread to nibble on before the first order comes through, and those were really yummy starters… Enjoyed it thoroughly, but would only go back if i didn’t have to spend myself. The ambiance is very business-i, and pristine with amply spaced tables. Bathrooms located downstairs, with individual towels to pat dry. Very enjoyable overall!

Stopped in for a nice, quiet lunch — chargrilled salmon as a main and ravioli with sage butter as a starter. Both were excellent. They had a nice lunch special for 2 or 3 courses, which made it more reasonable. The dinner menu looked spendy, but the food was well worth it. The 5GBP espresso was my only complaint(not the espresso but the price: O).
