first day in london, i’ve been off the plane for 3 hours and what do i go do but break my watch, a peice of the bezel comes off. Wandering into the commercial hub around the south kensington station to find a repair shop i find this place in the actualy station.
20 minutes later my watch is fixed and i’m a tenner lighter, but peace of mind is worth braving the exchange ratio
professional, unfussy service, I didnt find it crowded, but it is small

If you need your shoes re-​healing or your keys cut in a hurry I’d recommend Timpsons for a speedy and well done job.
Perfectly located in the arcade of shops in South Ken tube station, whenever I’ve popped in here there’s usually a mix of women balancing on one foot whilst they have their broken heal fixed and well-​to-​do men making sure that their Louboutin’s will be well cared for if entrusted in Timpsons hands.
I’ve always found them to be very efficient even though it’s a tiny shop (just a counter surrounded by keys and shoe polish) although they do have an annoying habit of trying their luck with you whilst you wait. Even though they might be holding your slipper, there are certainly no Prince Charming’s here and it’s embarrassing to say the least. So my advice is drop off shoes swiftly, collect them even more swiftly and make a run for it. Since as they do such a good job with your heals, it shouldn’t be too difficult to make a speedy getaway.
