Well presented salon using top products. Keen focus on sharp cutting, I am suitably impressed and look forward to making it my regular.

I saw Hiro yesterday for a haircut and wow… where do I begin?
1) I liked my experience and my haircut so much that on the train ride home, I seriously considered keeping Hiro my little secret.
2) I have, just like fellow Elite Colleen noted in her review, been in London for almost two years and have been to multiple stylists including Headmasters and j. moriyama — this haircut is the best cut I have ever had in London.
3) The whole cut took over an hour — which I love because Hiro took his time and his perfection shined through. First he cut whilst I still had wet hair (from the hair wash, not from London’s recent crazy downpour haha), and then he dried my hair to cut some more.
4) Throughout the whole process, Hiro was super chill, kept me informed about what he was doing (even though I made it clear to him that I trusted his expertise and told him to do «whatever makes me look good»).
5) Hiro went beyond the call of duty every time he added new layers or reshaped the length — I remember that I kept thinking «wow, I look hot… he must be finishing up soon…» — nope, ten minutes later «hot damn, I didn’t know this is possible… he must be finishing soon because I like it a lot already…» — nope, another ten minutes later «@#$%! I’M SO HOT OMG!»…you get the idea.
Tip: Haircuts with Hiro are normally £65 but first time clients get 20% off — bringing my total to £52.
In conclusion, I will be back because this man can do no wrong with his hands (also; I almost fell asleep when he was washing my hair looool — I never wanted him to stop!)

I have just been to see Hiro, he is a brilliant hairdresser listens intently & knows exactly what you want with a few pieces of advice which are absolutely correct. I will definitely be back to see him. The Salon is so relaxing I cannot find fault with anything. It’s the first time in a long time I haven’t left a hairdresser & wanted to cry. Had compliments too. I’m super particular about my hair almost to the point of obsession. Hiro did such an amazing job as the cut is tricky given its a short and sharp cut. He listened and took the time to cut it perfectly. Would definitely recommend.

I would definitely recommend this place. Simone was a good stylist who worked on my hair. The haircut lasted about an hour and the first time I’ve had my hair washed at the end which I’ve always wondered why this isn’t standard practice.

We went to Tokito to get a haircut with my girlfriend. She went with Hiro and I had my hair cut by Simone. Both very good hairdressers. Nice, pleasant and professional atmosphere. Not overpriced. Highly recommended *****

A really great relaxing visit to this Japanese salon in the middle of Shoreditch. I recently moved into the area and had been walking a few times before finally booking myself in for a cut.
Hiro was amazing with my hair, he sat down and went through various options about what we could do with my hair and kept offering suggestions throughout the cut.
Even better they’re open late, which is a godsend so I didn’t have to rush from work to make sure I wasn’t late! Definitely recommended, and they offer a discount for first time visitors as well!

Best haircut I’ve had in London.
I’ve now lived in London for 2 years, and have been to multiple stylists seeking the best cut. I’ve been sliced, diced, asymmetried, razored, blocked, dissected, pruned, primped and snipped by the best of ‘em, but never left feeling like it was exactly what I wanted.
Until I met Hiro at Tokito Hair last weekend. This is the guy. (please please please let this be the guy). I’ve searched far and wide (ok, in Shoreditch!) and left this salon thinking «YES, exactly.»
First, Tokito Hair is a newish salon on Hackney Road, just off Shoreditch High Street. It is immaculately clean, with sparkling wood floors and a very minimalist aesthetic (white/​black). After all, Hiro is the owner and it is a Japaenese salon — they’ve got style on lockdown. His style is reflected. It is very clean and straightforward without being pretentious or haughty, whatsoever.
I came to the salon about 10 weeks after my previous cut which left my hair uneven (not in a cool way), short in places, long in others and generally just overgrown and in a state of distress. He talked to me for a good 10 minutes about what I wanted, what would work, combed back and forth through my short-​ish hair. When I told him I wanted a piece shaved on the side (apparently feeling a bit minxy early on a Sunday) and he advised I take that side very short/​tight and then if I like it come back next time and do the shave. I think he was concerned it would be a bit much (probably) but I appreciated his suggestion and it looked great.
He then set out cutting my hair. The whole thing took 1 hour start to finish, and it never felt rushed or too slow. He cut, then dried, then cut some more, finishing with some styling… and I walked out feeling like a million bucks (err, pounds) and it was neither too short (often happens with short hair) but in great shape and felt just as I envisioned it.
I finally found a hairstylist that can read my mind. We’ll call him a hair advisor. Hiro is very talented. I will be back and am hoping this can be my regular salon, as I really enjoy the vibe. Open Sundays, too!

TOKITO is very clean, professional, and I love my haircut. Hiro is very thorough from start to finish, beginning with a full consultation and regular check-​ins to see how I liked the cut.
I typically get very nervous going to a new salon, but I left very happy. I received useful styling and hair care tips and would definitely recommend the salon.
