A nightmare of pain and frustration. Its the right idea in bringing a salad bar to London because, namely, no one else has done it! Which if you’ve moved here from NYC is a big pain in your backside. Well moved here and are trying to keep the lbs off. Simply put, their operations are a disaster. The line goes out the door but… somehow there is always someone behind the counter standing around. The lines in NYC also some times went out the door but… they moved. Fast. And that was with 3 salad makers — they have 7 and it just doesn’t move… Secondly, the app is a disaster show — the screens make it hard to input data and then if you haven’t logged in for the past two hours(because, you know, you would spend all of your time logging into your salad app, not just when you are ready to eat lunch), it asks you to re-log in. I had forgotten my password because, silly me, I thought it would retain that information but lo and behold, no. So I asked to have it reset — annoying enough as it is but… the link they sent me is to a website that no longer exists. *deletes app *writes accurate tirade on Unilocal *goes and gets lunch somewhere else

So tossed is pretty much my second kitchen — I’m here most days after my workout whether that be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. What’s not to love! Delicious fresh & healthy salads made how you want them — there’s a menu you can choose from but I tend to go for my own wonderful creations! I recommend the soy sesame sauce with pretty much anything(although I know it’s not the healthiest dressing!) If you want something a little warmer then there are the soup options too or the toasted wraps — my personal favourite is the tuna melt — tastes delicious but still healthy! And then if you want something more filling then go the rice pots — I absolutely love the Wholesome halloumi — it’s got all those healthy grains, whole rain race quinoa etc and tastes delicious & healthy! Have I mentioned everything tastes delicious, fresh and healthy? The juices and smoothies are great too & what I really love about tossed is you see everything being made in front of you. It doesn’t have much seating — but if the weathers nice then I tend to take my salad to Trafalgar Square, so you can do a bit of people watching whilst you eat. Also! If you come within an hour of closing everything is 50% off — this is where I tend to go crazy and simply buy all of the above mentioned food!

Now… Is £5 expensive for a salad? I think not in the instance and I’ll tell you why. For starters it depends on what you get. I create my own because I’m you know… Crazy like that. Medium spinach base. 1 x meat — chicken. 1 x deli — feta. 3 x veggies — baby plum tomatoes, pomegranate, olives/cucumber(depending on mood). Sauce — balsamic. Now… £5 is what I would normally pay for a tuna and cheese toastie. This salad is just as filling. You can come back to anytime in the day and if you choose correctly, you can make your monies worth. The staff are lovely, although I still fear every Time I go in there as it’s very confusing! The staff seemed to have a ‘regular customers’ attitude rather then a ‘have you been here before?’ attitude. They also make fresh smoothies, toasties etc however I find these expensive so don’t get them. I use to always get from the set Menu out of fear. The bacon avocado and chicken wrap was my go to. But the price didn’t match the taste for me so it’s salads for me from now on!

I love discovering such small gems as Tossed. Their menu suggests a healthy breakfast or snack. The food is delicious in general and there is an impressive number of sandwiches to choose from. However, I think that the staff needs better training and managing as they were a bit disoriented and talked to each other like I wasn’t there. I didn’t mind that but usually people would consider it to be very rude.

I really wanted to love this place. Love the concept and the ingredients are super fresh. But my biggest issue is that the portions are small and complete overpriced. I walked out of there £8 poorer and still hungry.

It isn’t often I order lunch and don’t leave feeling like I should start another diet immediately. This place managed to provide me with a decent meal that was filling and tasty. But that’s about it. The queue was ridiculous, there wasn’t a lot of choice compared to my typically unhealthy lunch choices and I’ve never seen peanut sized mozzarella balls and I’m not sure I’d ever want to again. On the other hand, my 64-year-old mother LOVED it, so swings and roundabouts. If you’re looking for something sort of healthy and don’t mind queuing and paying nearly a tenner for what is ultimately a basic salad with a smoothie, go for it. This place is perfect.

Ordered: Chicken Chipotle Salad or Sesame Chicken Noodles Price: £5.95 or £4.95 Review: Lunches are the mid way point of the day. Fancy a top up for the energy refill without feeling bloated, about to food-coma? This is the place to go. Light salads with full of ingredients and flavour. Ask for a little less salad sauce when they drizzle it over, because sometimes they get a bit too liberal, or happy with the squeezing. Otherwise one of my favourite lunch places.

Tossed is great! lovely healthy options! I had the granola pot with milk for breakfast and a berry punch smoothie, which was great too! would like to try more of their menu as it seems impressive!

A colleague took me here today for lunch. It was one of those typical fall days in London, very cold, and had started to rain just as we went for lunch, then stopped when we were getting our food. Tossed is mainly about salads, but it also does smoothies, wraps, yogurts, and breakfast looking wraps, and homemade soups. The salads looked amazing. You pick your lettuce base, and then pick from a gazillion different toppings that they«toss» into your lettuce. Very cool. But I was so chilled… I had to get something warm. So i tried their soup. The soup was actually very good. I will have to go back sometime when it is a salad kind of day, and eat the greens. Overall affordable healthy fast food(watch the toppings though they charge extra for the toppings! :))

Good for a quick wrap or build-your-own salad at lunch. Try to get there early, as it gets pretty busy and cramped.

Oh dear. The only way this could get worse is if the salads contained iceberg lettuce, at least the romaine lettuce is decent. But how do you get capers to taste of. nothing? Potatoes to taste of old leather? Cheap and nasty, I would say, but pricey with it.

The 12-year-old boy inside of me comes out upon walking into a place like tossed. … I’ll let that ruminate for a while … And then the veggie munching herbivore takes over with a near spontaneous internal combustion upon being presented with so many delicious choices! Unfortunately, these choices come at a price — at least .50p each — so I end up just getting the basics and not taking chances. Thus, I leave wondering why exactly I spent £10 on a salad and a smoothie. Hmmm… this review is kinda boring me. But it’s not quite as boring as my tossed salad.

Putting me in Tossed is like putting a T-Rex in a field of cabbages. «WHERE’S THEMEAT!?» Luckily amongst the hordes of impressive salad, green fingery, low in calorie, I must constantly fight to loss weight because I don’t look like the girl in the magazine who is SOUNATTRACTIVELYTHIN so nobody will love me unless I eat nothing but lettuce and occasionally as a treat, a celery stick, there is actually some yummy stuff including… wait for it… CHICKEN and BACON. The basis of this place is to grab a basic salad from the fridge then you choose from the huge selection of healthy goodness to have slapped on your lettuce. For those wanting something different you can also get jacket potatoes and wraps. With my first impression of ‘Oh no… salad bar,’ dashed I embarked on choosing a wrap worthy of kings. With a choice of all the impressive options, I went for a chicken, noodles, salsa and bean sprout wrap. It was very, VERY good. At £4.75 it had to be. I followed this up with a granola, yogurt compote that was good, although the berry compote did place house to a few pieces of banana that I found weird, All in all a pleasant lunch, a sure fire hit with the ladies and guys if you are dragged in here by your girl, man up, be happy as there is stuff for us too.

Fresh tasty salads of all types from the classic Caesar through to the whatever’s the current special…(turkey cranberry with stuffing last Xmas was particularly delicious!). It can get quite busy at lunchtime but they’re pretty efficient and the queue doesn’t usually take long to zip through. The very berry and rum and raisin smoothies are also very tasty and great on a warm summer’s day, plus they’re freshly made from frozen yoghurt so not too unhealthy(though the peanut butter in the latter might not be for those on a diet ;)). There’s also a small bar area at the side in case you want to hang around to eat yours but most folk are in for takeaway. They also can deliver to your office but I’ve never tried that. You could do a lot worse at lunchtime than go here!

Toss off! Really it’s worth it although not at the same time. This is a lunchtime favorite with lots of workers in the area, the advantage of it being slightly out the way means that you don’t get the tourists holding you up during your precious lunch time. There is no proper seating and no messing around as the queue moves quickly and you have to choose a salad before you get to the front and the line of people behind you start tutting. They are good salads but expensive and it you can be bothered to make them at home, I’m sure you could make them just as nice. their hot veggie stews and stuff are great winter warmers though!

If like me, you get bored of sandwiches for a quick lunch option then Tossed is for you. Tossed specialises in lovely salads and I’m not talking rabbit food. Salads so good you’ll forget that you’re actually eating healthily. I love the CYO menu(Create your Own) which gives customers lots of choice. First you choose your salad base(ingredients include lettuce, noodles, cous cous or brown basmati rice) then your ingredients which range from meat, dairy, fruit&veg and lastly choose from a large selection of dressings. I love the champagne rasberry and the low fat sweet chilli. With Leceister Square’s large selection of fast food joints like McDs and KFC– Tossed is a great change.

Tossed sells tossed salad. I don’t know if that phrase has a similar significance in Great Britain, but in America it means a whole lot of raunchiness going on down the backside. Tossed doesn’t sell tossed salad that tastes like what you’d imagine the American meaning would taste like. It’s actually good. It’s a lunchtime kind of meal, so if you work in the Leicester Square area and you need a bit of greens in your tummy, pop over here. You’ll be out about a fiver and you’ll definitely suck down all those wholesome nutrients.

A trip to Tossed is always a firm favourite at lunchtime and the salads are really filling and satisfying! Don’t be fooled by the often lengthy queue when you get there, the staff are a crack team of salad making ninja’s and they make light work of knocking up a fine line in ‘salad staples’ such as your tuna nicoise and caeser, plus a range of their own creations.

Leicester Square is filled with food nightmares and calories, but like a little ray of light, St Martin’s Lane brings us Tossed. It’s just opposite Gymbox and St Martin’s hotel(to remind us that we need to eat salads to become superstars). The main product is salads — you select a base from cos, mixed leaves, brown rice or cous cous and then can create your own or select a house salad. The salad errr technicians(?!?) then add your ingredients and toss in front of you. All the calories are readily avaliable so you can tell exactly what you’re eating. If you don’t fancy a salad they also have a medium range of sandwiches, as well as soups, stews and jacket potatoes, but the salads are so good I’ve not got bored of them yet. Smoothies are another big product and I particularly enjoy the Strawberry Supreme. And if you have a sweet tooth don’t worry, there’s lots of fruits, bananas in custard, jelly and random other stuff. Most importantly it’s fun — not some nutty health place. They make eating good food seem very cool!
