First time going and had a great experience. I arrived exactly on time and was greeted by friendly staff and people and was seated in the barber’s chair straight away so there was no delay at all. The Brazilian chap who cut my hair was very friendly and sociable and was helpful to the fashion-challenged individual that I am. All up the cut took about 45min but it didn’t feel like I was in the seat for that long. A wash was included of course. I was very happy with the cut and would certainly be going back in a few weeks time.

I have an absolute love/hate relationship with this place. The biggest drawing card is of course their free haircuts(afterall they are a barber school and their students needs guinea pigs). But just like the saying that there’s no free lunch, you do have to «pay» for it in some ways. First of all they do highly recommend you to book in advance.,. either by calling them or via their website. However in my experience they never cross check that you actually have an appointment when you turn up. In any case you just wait in the waiting area for your turn. Then there’s the waiting game. When you book online they suggested that the haircut experience would take around 30 mins… depends on your luck I’ve once only waited for 5 minutes while another time I waited for 1.5 hours, but either way it’s highly unlikely you’d be done in 30 mins. as they’re barber students they do take their time. In my experiences the actual haircutting time can be anywhere between 30 – 60 mins. Fear not that they’re students. all finished cuts are checked by the teacher to ensure that it’s of decent quality before they’ll let you walk out the door. So if you think haircuts are just something you need to do. and is happy to wait for a bit then I’d recommend to give this place a try. Oh btw — without sounding too un-PC. This is a barber so their clientele are mostly male… while they won’t refuse female clients it’s probably not recommended.
