Tran’s

There are definitely nicer places to get your nails done in London, but if you want somewhere reasonably priced, easy to get to and where you don’t need an appointment (more on that later!) then Trans is for you. For the end result alone they would probably get a higher rating, they have a good selection of colours and are good at what they do — manicures and pedicures (as I only have natural nails can’t comment on any of the artificial services) and once they get to work it is relatively speedy. What lets the place down is that when they are busy– which is most summer evenings– they try to work on too many people at once which means that you inevitably are waiting around for a long time– if you are lucky it is on one of the massaging chairs but if you are not it can feel a lot longer! And if you leave and come back, even if you are told a time to come back, then you know someone else will have been put in front of you and so it’ll be an even longer wait. I have never seen anyone with an appointment who is seen at the actual time of their appointment! My advice is take a friend or a magazine, or both, and if you are impatient take note consider wisely. The staff has always been very nice and friendly though.

I had a pedi & acrylic french tips done, for £50. They were quick & friendly, as long as you don’t mind them talking to each other & its def a no frills place. The results were great, really pleased, going back next time.

I have been here several times and have been happy with the results. The most recent manicure was bad. The girl (who has done an ok job in the past) was on her phone, didn’t say hello or ask how I wanted my nails shaped, and slapped on some nail polish in a manicure that lasted no more than 15 minutes. (Another woman was having a French manicure and her technician was still doing the tips on the same hand by the time my manicure was done.) After being left to dry my nails with a desk fan, I was then told «hello» and that I was done, I could leave now.
Despite the £13 pricetag and convenient location, it’s probably time to find somewhere else.
(Other low points looking back at the place: pretty sure it’s not good to keep nail polish in a sunny window, it’s definitely not very clean)

Nail care specialists within spitting distance of clapham junction train station. Competitive prices, friendly staff and great quality work. My girlfirend had her nails done here the other week (while i was off shopping for computer games!) and i was amazed at how great she looked after her 1 hour treatment.
I can highly recommend Tran’s in Clapham.
