Located in Camden Lock, I got a really awesome anklet for a surprisingly decent price(in London, everything is so expensive!). Definitely a cool accessory place to go to if you are looking for something tribal/edgy.

I think that the stereotypical native African warrior look is a very strong one. In my opinion, it never goes out of fashion, its easy to wear and best achieved by accessorizing a simple outfit with some scary body adornment, preferably made from bones or wood. Tribu, located in Camden market specialise in this type of paraphernalia and do it very well. They stock all sorts of nice things like necklaces, rings and ear plugs. Not the kind of ear plugs that bouncers wear to block out techno music, the things that you wear if you have made a massive hole(they sell plugs up to 20 mm in size) in your ear lobe with an ‘expander’ which is an earring that starts off small and gets rather large towards its end. You push it through yourself gradually until, hey presto! There’s a big hole where your ear lobe used to be. According to the Tribu website, doing this can be an «exciting journey.» Each to their own I suppose, but I’m getting a bit old for all that, I’m not a fan of ear plugs but the expanders are very pretty. Thankfully, they stock fake ones that come apart in the middle, so you can have the effect of a beautifully curved silver or coconut shell spear or spiral through your ear without any of the pain or future embarrassment. They sell jewellery in brass, silver, gold and even obsidian(volcanic glass) and are able to make rings to order in any size.
