we came here as it was across the road from the geffrye museum which we were visiting and we were in need of some mother’s day sustenance.
i really love wine, so the fact that place is full of wine made me happy, even at 12pm on a sunday (i didn’t drink any, so it’s not all bad!)
we were actually enticed inside by the offer of buying a tea or coffee and receiving a free muffin or croissant. we ordered our coffees and hot chocolates from the friendly canadian girl serving us, but there was no talk of our free treat, so we asked if we could have some with our drinks. she was very obliging, but we did get charged for them in the end… we could have made a scene i guess, but the coffee was good, as were our pain au chocolats so we decided to take the hit and pay for the goodies that we enjoyed!
having said that… it’s not cool to advertise something which is not the truth (maybe there was small print… we didn’t look!)

Love this place.
We were in London for the Olympics and discovered this little gem just downstairs from the vacation apartment we were staying in. Since then, we go there every other day either for breakfast or for a quick night cap. The Turkish breakfast there is not to be missed if you like cheese, fresh veggie, olives in big portions! The organic wine is tastier than you think, and is suppose to be better for you, no?
The staff and the owners, WOW. So friendly and warm. Great service, awesome vibe.
Yes they do have free wifi that works perfect! Also on Friday nights there is live jazz in the basement.
I will definitely go back on my next visit to London.

Nice little organic café and bar recently opened up on Kingsland road. They sell a moderate range of organic produce to take home, prices similar to Planet Organic.
They also serve hot drinks, coffee, breakfasts, lunches etc. Med influenced food. Nice olives, cheeses etc.
Not sure about free wifi, there were people with their lap tops out alright. They have a bar and open till 11pm. Nice vibe, nice staff. Nice.
