Tune Hotel

This Tune Hotel is ok for a cheap night stay in London.
It is situated at Westminster but it is situated on a very busy junction.
We stayed in room 114 and we had a very busy junction outside our window and a bright flashing billboard. So throughout the night the light from the billboard was coming through the crack of the side of the curtains so even though the curtains were blackout ones it did not totally prevent light from beaming in. Also the bed was very hard.
However saying this the small room was adequate for a nights stay and was very clean and the staff at this hotel was very welcoming and pleasant.

You get what you pay for with these budget hotels, this is definitely one of the better ones I’ve stayed in.
Check in was pretty fast and easy. You get one room key, if you need two just ask, and our package included all the add-​ons (towels, TV, WiFi etc). You do normally have to pay for these separately, so bear that in mind when booking.
The rooms are compact but pretty functional. The bathroom is at the very end of the bed with a frosted glass window which is open at the top and bottom, so you need to be pretty close and comfortable with the person you’re travelling with. The air conditioning unit was very noisy, and as our window was facing a main road, leaving our window open at night wasn’t really an option. Ear plugs would sort this out though. Beware when showering, the whole bathroom floods and can cause a bit of a mess.
The lift is tiny and there’s only one. You might have to wait a little longer if you have luggage with you.
The hotel was really clean, have no complaints there.
The area was pretty cool, you’re pretty close to Waterloo Station, with lots of lovely cafes, vintage shops and cool little bars. You’re also pretty close to the main hospital in London, so be prepared for sirens through the night.
Way better than Easy Hotels but don’t expect a luxury experience.

Small rooms but I was exploring London 12+ hours per day so I did care. Centrally located between to subway stops… the rooms were clean, comfortable but small. The staff was amazing. I left my iPhone there and they shipped it to the US for free. Thank you!!!

Le Tune Hotel de Westminster Bridge et l’endroit idéal pour s’héberger si vous souhaitez passer quelques jours à Londres.
Situé au pied de la station de métro Lambeth North et de la gare de Waterloo, le Tune Hotel de Westminster est parfaitement implanté puisqu’il vous permettra également de rejoindre Big Ben ou le London Eye à pieds en moins de 10 minutes. Plusieurs Pubs, restaurants ou café sont présents dans ce quartier, ainsi vous trouverez facilement ou petit déjeuner, l’hôtel né proposant pas ce service.
Né pensez pas cependant à passer plus d’une semaine dans ces chambres. En effet leur (toute) petite taille rend les petits séjours agréables mais risqué de devenir un handicap pour des durées longues. Comptez moins de 10m2 par chambres, mais comprenant un lit double ainsi qu’une salle de bains avec WC et douche (pas très pratique de par sa taille), le tout étant très propre.
Attention, Tune Hotel est une chaîné hôtelière alliant low cost et confort. De nombreuses options vous seront donc proposées durant votre réservation (serviettes, TV, wifi, chambre avec fenêtre…). Un petit conseil, faites comme nous, réservez sur des sites partenaires (
pour nous). Ainsi, une chambre double avec toutes options vous sera proposé au même prix qu’une chambre sans options sur le site officiel.
Seul petit inconvénient durant nos trois nuits, l’isolation de la chambre. En effet de l’air passait par la fénêtre (simple vitrage) qui fermait extrêmement mal. En plein mois de janvier cela est plutôt désagréable. Cependant le chauffage nous a permis de le supporter.
Concernant le personnel, rien à redire. Souriant, agréable, discret, professionnel et de bons conseils.
Enfin, le tarif. En cette période nous en avons eu pour 75£ par nuit, toutes options incluses. Plutôt abordable lorsque l’on connait les prix dans la capitale anglaise.
En bref, et vous l’aurez compris, je vous recommande le Tune Hotel de Westminster si comme nous, vous partez quelques jours et souhaitez être idéalement situé.

Tune Hotel is as bare bones as hotel rooms come, but I was prepared for it. I knew the hotel rooms would be the size of a closet (and it was), but for the price and location it wasn’t bad. It can get a little claustrophobic at times, especially if you’re sharing the room with another person. The showers deliver hot water which was a major plus.
If you’re just looking for a place to crash and store your luggage than I would recommend Tune if you’re looking for a very cheap place in London and know what you’re getting into.

, than towels and Wi-​Fi are included in the price and the price for early check in is about 15 — 30 dollars extra.
Tune is about a ten minute walk from the London Eye on the South Bank, and from there you can walk to the Tate Modern and the Globe in about twenty minutes. The walk is very pleasant, especially since it’s right along the Thames. Tune is also located next to the Lambeth North station which can be reached via the Bakerloo line and made travel very convenient.

Shower Sucks. Water goes everywhere. Definitely need to redesign the shower.
The room is small but its London. The price was decent but best of all is it is close to London Eye (7 minutes walk). Not sure if I would come again but considering the cheapish price (~$ 100 USD) and the awesome location, I may consider it.
Guess it is London but they charge for almost everything. The early check-​in for £15 was well worth it as we took a 7 hour overnight flight and was dead tired.
They also had internet and the view wasn’t too bad. They only clean the rooms every 3^rd day so keep that in mind.

For the price, this hotel was everything we needed (minus the space). There was literally only room to put one suitcase on the floor and the whole floor was covered. It was literally a bed, a toilet, tv, and a shower. It was very clean, modern, and the bed/​pillows were very comfortable. The staff was nice as well. It was conveniently located in London too.
Also, when I booked, I read that the hotel charges for towels and other things like internet. However, towels and internet came with ours for free which we found out when we got there! All in all, great stay, but BEWARE if you enjoy having space, I would not recommend this place. If you are literally looking for a place just to sleep, this is the place.

We had almost cancelled our London trip plans due to the high costs of hotels in London. At the last minute, I was able to find the Tune hotel in Westminster for £55/​night. Booked it and added some of the add-​ons (towels, WiFi, etc). The hotel is small, rooms are tiny, but for the amount of time we spent in there, it was fine. The room was very clean and the bathroom was clean too, the only issue was the shower curtain was old so when water would hit it, it would start to smell. Other than that, the staff was friendly and everything was reasonably priced. We bought snacks and water from the store across the street which was very convenient. There is a café downstairs next door, you get free WiFi there if you purchase something. The train station is across the street as well, which is awesome. The walk to the Parliament, London Eye and Westminster Abbey is only ten minutes. When we come back, we will be staying at Tune hotels again.
Room Tip: Be sure to request one with a window.

Popular in Asia, this hotel brand is based on the idea of being sort of a la carte in terms of any and all amenities. Since we were just two people and knew we didn’t need much, plus this was one of the cheapest options, we decided to go with it. I should point out that this hotel has extensive and very positive reviews on Trip Advisor.
Basically, choose between a single or double bed, and choose whether or not you want a window (really). We had a double bed, and no window. Everything beyond that is extra. We chose to have 24 hours of Internet for $ 4.5 and two towels with «basic toiletries» for $ 2.25 each. Yup, towels are not included. If you’re really feeling cheap, they do include a towel bathmat you could use.
The room was just large enough for the bed; about 8×9 feet. Oh well– the luggage fit under the bed. My big issues were the humidity of the room; air conditioning only worked when you had your room key in the door entry. Also, since we had no window we were in the basement, and although our room didn’t smell at all, the hall smelled like an old, sour towel.
Internet didn’t work consistently, and could only be authorized for one device, which wasn’t practical. On the other hand, we bought 24 hours of TV and received over 36 hours instead. They do have phones in the room and they do have vending machines and Internet access in the lobby. Basically, come here if you plan on being here only to sleep: not to eat, not to watch, not to take comfortable showers (though the water temp and pressure were great), and well, not to do much but sleep. And, for $ 100 a night, it’s about the cheapest you can do in the city without some serious risk.

Customizable hotel! That’s what it publicized on the website. Only pay for things you absolutely wanted. That sounded really good especially for an expensive city like London. Get rid of the frills and just get a bed and internet connection. Unfortunately, all I got was a bed.
Being a solo traveler in a booked hotel meant that I was given the smallest room available. It was the size of my walk-​in closet back home. The bathroom was this modular design that was placed in the room and the bed was a double. There was absolutely no space to stand up or put luggage anywhere. The bathroom was tiny and reminded me of those toilet/​shower combos you see in trains or on ships. Also, I paid for wifi but the wifi signal was barely strong enough to get into my room. Also my particular room was on the 2^nd floor and below me was a coffee shop. Apparently the coffee shop had it’s stereo speakers built into its ceiling and I could hear music through my floor. Not pleasant at all.
Only good thing is that the hotel is right next to the Tube so it’s fast to travel anywhere in London. It’s walking distance to the Parliament as well.
In the future, I’d just pay extra for a better hotel or stay in a hostel and be annoyed by young travelers.
