Great hardware store which my wife and I have used a few times over the past 2 years.
The guys working there are really friendly and knowledgable.
After a couple of trips this weekend to fix our lose toilet seat (worse design of a toilet seat ever) we were reminded of how good they are. They were really patient in deciphering our photos of the bolt design, even showing us their toilet as a comparison.
In the end, with their help, I was able to solve the riddle of how to tighten the toilet seat and save us some ££.

A real 5 star rating for Upper St hardware. The shop looks small from the outside but goes back quite deep and you’d be surprised how much they have in stock. I’ve managed to find pretty much anything I’ve needed when it comes to hardware here.
The prices are reasonable and what’s best is the guys who work here are so helpful and knowledgeable. Just the best.

I feel totally ridiculous giving a hardware store 5 stars, but this place deserves it. We live in Highbury/Finsbury Park area and on the recent bank holiday were unable to find a hardware store that was open. We eventually gave up and went on a mini pub crawl, as you do. We nearly walked past this place, and have probably passed it a number of times without noticing. My partner felt pretty excited about locating a place that would sell us light bulbs on a bank holiday, so that should give you an idea of how cool we are.
Anyways, this place is great! Deceivingly large and had everything I could think that a hardware store should have. There were at least two people working, both whom I saw help other customers while we were there with exactly what they needed. And not that I buy a lot of light bulbs, but I’m going to say that their selection was pretty great.
On a street where you don’t have a large number of true neighborhood stores, this place is really handy.
