The service is inexpensive and usually returns the valuation within the 48 hour window as they promise. I have used them 4 times now and only one valuation fell outside the 48 hour window. That particular valuation also did not correlate well with evaluations done on that same object by other appraisers. I contacted to request they take another look at that object, which they assured me they would. That was more than 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting. That has been the case with all inquiries I have made regarding other features of the website. I receive a response email saying I will be contacted soon then hear nothing further.

As an employee of this concern, I can speak very fairly to this business. Right now I am waiting to be paid for my services a meager $ 35.00, for which they will not send me a check, and have changed the policies without notifying me. The appraisers are brilliant and very hard working folks. We do a excellent job, and from inside, there is also an appraiser who checks our appraisals to make sure that we are doing a good job, and also to check typos. We work from a template and only see your object from photographs. Many of them are good and some photographs are not. There is always the issue of taking the object and having a specialist from an auction house to give a one over. The infrastructure of the business and getting in touch with the appraisers is awful, hence my problem above. I think that folks who I work with were not such book-minded, simpletons who were not pretentious and actually had common sense. But I get paid so little to do these appraisals.

The valuation service is affordable and efficient. Not only do they provide valuations, but the art identification service is such a bonus. No longer do I have to go to Central London to have my antiques appraised, but I can do it from the comfor of my own home

I sent these folks a glass etching that included the dimensions. The picture I sent showed the etching placed in front of a larger curved window. The valuation came back as a window etching. Had anyone read the dimensions I sent, it would have been obvious that the etching was not in fact the window. They had absolutely no clue who the artist was and their response to my question about the«window» valuation was unacceptable and somewhat rude. I have absolutely no faith in their ability to appraise or communicate!

Agency service: Sent paintings to their agency service to sell 6 months ago and still waiting to hear from them. Valuation service: Most of the time it is very good. However, it has taken longer to receive the valuations back. If they cannot do it in 48 hours as advertized, they should not promise 48 hours.
