Best breakfast in Chelsea? We had the English Breakfast. With one order of scrambled eggs on the side. The tomatos were icky and cold. The beans were almost cold and tasted like coming straight from a can. No spicing up, nothing. The portobello mushroom was cold and icky. No spicing up either. I asked what these scrambled eggs were made of? Cause these looked like puke. He explained these were made with cream. And it looked it was made with one egg? What country serves the amount of one egg as scrambled eggs??? He redid them for us without cream and they looked like made from a bottle with ready mix egg. I asked him how they made the scrambled eggs. Do you take real eggs and scramble them in the pan? His answer was they use Free Range eggs. I guess it was his way of admitting, that they use some icky ready mix. Because there was no seperation of white and yellow. All one color. Seriously, I have never seen a more distasteful scrambled eggs. We could absolutely not eat this. How much easier can it be, heating up some butter and throwing in some eggs. Then salt and pepper. Ready. How on earth can you serve such breakfast and tell us, we serve the best breakfast in Chelsea? I think we paid over 30 Pound for 2 breakfasts, jam and toast and two coffee. You´ve got to be kidding me.

Food was fresh and healthy. The berry boost and orange juice both freshly made. The omelette was a bit over cooked(on the dry side). We also had the soup of the day. It was a big hit! Children had pancakes which were light and fluffy and came with summer berries. Service staff was extremely courteous.

One of the best breakfast joints you’ll find at 4am. Ordered the full English breakfast. The eggs were perfect, sausage was spot on, mushrooms perfectly roasted. Bacon was too flimsy for my liking but I still ate them(bad bacon is better than no bacon). Fresh squeezed OJ is always appreciated. A bit pricey but you certainly get generous portions. Stick with the small order if you want anything close to a reasonably sized meal. Large would be good to share.

Good bfast great friendly service 4 stars all the way… We had a wonderful xperience here, ill b honest i was a bit skeptical coming here with our 2 yr old given that it’s known to be a late night grub stop/after club hangout, but we were very pleasantly surprised… the staff were friendly, welcoming and it was evident they are used to dealing with kids in the restaurant. We got there earlyish at 10am on a Sat. Only 2 other tables were occupied. Space IS limited so you might have to fold ur stroller, they have a booster seat type high chair avail, which we didnt need since our 2 yr old could sit on the bench side of the table. Great menu choices, they DO have a kids menu, brought us crayons, the girls were so nice, brought us xtra napkins… we had full eng bfast + eggs florentine super fresh. 1 free refill on any coffee drink… really good xperience! Def recommend.

Wouldn’t go out of my way to get to this place. Nice to have free refill of Americano. Atmosphere a bit plastic. Food was fine.

great that it’s open 24 hours. Great service. We loved our server. Coffee was good but food was extremely disappointing and portions were small. They have wifi which is nice. Would only return if this is the only place open,

One of the few places in the Chelsea area where the staff seem genuinely pleased to see you — plus a terrific quality breakfast(compared to Maison Blanc across the road that also had a great breakfast, more charm as a venue — but Very poor service). So — if you are happy to trade charm for quality and great service — look no further

Perfect experience here! I had seen them pop up on Unilocal quite a few times now, since I live just up the road. Finally decided to take a walk and have breakfast here. For a Saturday morning, it wasn’t very crowded. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and she let me sit anywhere. I ordered a black coffee, which was just an americano, as well as two Eggs Benedict with bacon. You are given the choice for one or two, and with ham or bacon. My coffee came promptly and while I sipped on the delicious drink, I entertained myself with some complimentary magazines they had by the door. I didn’t wait long, my food came out about 10 minutes after my coffee did. It was DELICIOUS. The bacon was crispy, but not burnt and not soaked with grease. The egg was cooked perfectly, not overly runny but still very soft. There was quite a bit of hollandaise sauce on it, however, it was not too overwhelming. I finished the breakfast rather quickly but to my surprise, I found out that they give complementary refills on my coffee. So I say there and enjoyed my second cup and finished the magazine. Never felt rushed and certainly felt taken care of. I would definitely come back or recommend this location. Stellar!

Nice place, coffee a bit too watery but I ordered a croque Madame for lunch and it was pretty clean and healthy. Overall feels like a young place with a lot of choices, the chicken club sandwich was good too, definitely a place for brunch ! They should just improve their coffee and lattes !

We came here for brunch on Saturday and were very pleased. The food is great and the service was quick and wonderful. The serve breakfast all day which is a plus and I will be returning to try out their great looking lunch menu. We both had the eggs Benedict with crispy bacon and hash browns(more like tater tots but I wasn’t complaining!) And the berry smoothie which was fresh lovely and not packed full of sugar and cream like some other places. Fair price as well!

At 3:45 a.m. on January 1st I exited the Tube at South Kensington and embarked on a woozy twenty minute walk back to my Chelsea lodging. At 4 a.m. the overwhelmingly enticing scent of charbroiled burgers hit my nostrils, imbedding itself there for me to obsess over for the next 18 hours. Though VQ(as it is now called) was open at 4 a.m., I dared not stop for a number of reasons: First, I thought it prudent to get to bed. Second, I thought it imprudent to eat charbroiled burgers at 4 a.m. And third, there was a wall of people waiting to get in. At 4 a.m. Sure, it was now new year’s day, but really. A line at 4 a.m. Much later that day, when I finally went in search of food I stopped at the first place I saw. I still wanted that burger I’d smelled and there were no burgers on that menu where I was but I ate well and heartily. Still, you know when you’re obsessed and the obsession won’t abate? Or when you’re hungover and need really fatty, rich food for satisfaction? This explains how I wound up back at VQ within 3 hours of dining nearby. It wasn’t about hunger; it was about filling a need that could only be filled with one of those charbroiled burgers. And oh my, did VQ deliver. I don’t actually believe that VQ’s 6-ounce char-broiled cheeseburgers are all that but I do believe the burger I ate was all that. I’d be willing to call it one of the best burgers of my life even though I know that’s the booze talking. But the fact that this place is open 24⁄7 means that they must get a lot of diners whose booze is doing the talking and for them, hey, it’s burger time. The burger(£7.95 pounds) was basic and they charged me an additional £(approximately $ 1.60) for the slices of raw onion which I requested. Man though; that thing was dee-lish. A side of extra crispy, piping hot sweet potato fries was a perfect accompaniment. Satisfaction was complete. VQ is, as mentioned, open all night. Tragically, late dining here comes at a ridonculously steep price. Between midnight and 6 a.m. there’s a cover charge ranging from £1.50 — £2.50 per person depending on the night. This wouldn’t be quite so offensive if they didn’t also use this time to jack up their prices. The same burger I had at 9 p.m. goes from £7.95 up to £11.95 pounds between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. For my dollar-friendly readers, that’s a price increase of more than $ 7 for a six-ounce burger and gives me an additional reason to be glad I didn’t chow here at 4 a.m. on new year’s day. And a cover charge plus a price increase? Isn’t that double dipping? Someone is trying(maybe) to make this all right. A current promotion advertises all food and drink at 50% off between the hours of 6 — 8 p.m. I’m going to assume that’s 50% off the daytime prices though the promotion doesn’t really make that clear. It might be worth it to get in at that time just to cut your losses in the event you waltz in drunkenly one night. If you do, don’t say you weren’t warned. Friends don’t let friends dine at VQ between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Where to begin. I’d say, minus one star for charging a cover to get into this place. The cover is only £2.50, but just the principle of being charged to go to a glorified diner was more than I could handle. I ordered the goat cheese and red pepper sandwich and could have made a much better one at home. In addition to the food being both overpriced and mediocre(I was with a bigger group and we ordered a few of the items on the menu), the service was really disappointing. The servers were rude and inattentive. I would say for the money, you’re much better off going to the Big Easy or somewhere else nearby.

Minus one star for the long wait for my food. Apparently they were training a new sous-chef. Aside from that, this would be a solid 5-star review. That being said, the food was absolutely delicious, and well worth the wait. * Bangers and mash with poached eggs– stunningly good. * Cappucino was probably the best I’ve had anywhere. Extraordinarily good. * When the waitress told me I could have a free refill of the coffee– my mouth-wateringly-good cappucino– I thought I was in Heaven. * EVERYTHING is homemade. * Really fair prices considering the quality of the food. * It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t let that put you off.

It seems as though I might be the only Unilocaler who has visited Vingt Quartre before noon and also while sober! The Goat Cheese & Red Pepper sammy is so yummy that I’ve ordered it on both of my visits. The servers are friendly and attentive. Big props to their bartender who makes a killer spicy Bloody Mary(hey, I said I visited while sober… I didn’t say that I didn’t indulge in a drink or two while there)! :) My days of indulging in late night greasy food are over but I’ll certainly be back to VQ during«normal» brunch hours for another visit soon.

After a long flight to England, a long day of work, and a horrible night’s sleep — I was up at 4am looking for breakfast. Luckily, Vingt Quatre was a short 10 minute walk from my hotell through beautiful kensington. The lovely polish waitress whipped me up one of the best lattes I’ve had in years. And threw together a banging breakfast of bangers, eggs, tomatoes, beans. Great start to a very long day. Felt like the place was more for late night party goers than jetlagged business folks but it worked well for me.

after an extensive yet speedy 3 week refurbishment, vingt-quatre has been reintroduced as VQ. the skylight at the rear of the shop, near the kitchen, is a nice touch that floods the 24hr restaurant with natural light. friendly italian waitresses here are ever ready to serve. i started with a latte, made with love. and was most pleasantly surprised to find that you get 1 free refill on all coffee and tea between 8am-8pm! free wifi is always a bonus. a comprehensive 24 hour breakfast menu to boot. i asked about their kedgeree and it came highly recommended. and spot on they were! the best way to describe it is that it looks like a milanese saffron risotto but taste like a creamy, smoked haddock curry served with a perfectly poached egg on top. cant quite find any negative comments except: COVERCHARGE(MIDNIGHT-6AM): Sunday — Thursday: £1.50 per person. Friday & Saturday: £2.50 per person.

The only reason I have ever ventured into the mysterious place that is Vingt-Quatre(24 in French for non-francophiles) is because I have been very hungry and very drunk and within walking(or cabbing) distance. I guess it goes with the posh-o address, but this 24 hour establishment acts like it’s an exclusive nightclub– complete with doorman and velvet rope. So, to get your late night drunchie on, be prepared to stand in line with some rather rowdy and potentially Tarquin-esque people who might just say«I’m litrally in Burma.» They will kick you out if you are too drunk and/or pass out, so bear that in mind when your new BFF from the club tags along then loses the ability to sit while you dine.(yes, this happened to me, but luckily this person paid for the group’s… breakfast?) Don’t go hungry, just go to Vingt-Quatre. When in London, that’s what I do.
