Vue Croydon Purley Way

I haven’t been here for years and it was good to know that the ticket kiosk is still there and not replaced by the ticket machines!
Queuing for your tickets and popcorns and snacks didn’t take that long, but the foyer was pretty warm inside but was pretty grateful for the aircon inside the screen rooms!

This cinema has been established here for a long time now along side restaurants and bowling arcade so can come here for night out. Also near a small shopping area so even pop in after a good shop up near by!
Large cinema complex with around 6 screens showing the latest movies. As always, they could do with more staff on the tills to serve the food of usual cinema delights — popcorn, hot dog, nachos, ice-​cream. Have recently spied that they serve wine and beers in there ‘menu’ of drinks. Rather expensive to have snacks but you cannot come and not have popcorn. No longer a cheap date/​night out though.
Generally the cinema is clean and tidy and they have self service /​pick up orders ticket booths if you are not eating which saves on the having to tackle the lines to purchase tickets and food.
Plenty of free parking outside however it can get full on popular Friday and Saturday nights.

Not very many staff so there are always a lot of ques. The screens are great, you really do get the best view (vue) in town.

Not enough staff present to serve customers so takes a very long time to get tickets/​food. No one there seems really too bothered about the level of customer service given or any kind of active floor management. Guy serving was polite enough but could sense he really could use help as it suddenly got very busy and only one other til was open. Overall poor staffing levels led to an overly frustrating waiting time to get served, not good. Also people double parking outside horrendous this aspect needs looking at also, simply not good enough. So everyone go somewhere else.

I’ve been to this cinema a couple of times and I have always had to wait 30 minutes in the queue to buy a ticket, which means i miss a good portion of the movie. The service is very slow, atrocious and frustrating. The supervisor and the ‘young men’ that serve you are incredibly slow and bad and really take their time in serving you. They should all be sacked. Even my 90 year old grandma can serve quicker than these slowcoaches. When you get to the front you feel like giving these lazy slow bums a hard bitch slap round the gob. I don’t understand why it takes 7 minutes to serve each person in the queue! Horrible and Very Slow Service

lots of parking and some great restaurants around. So you can have a great night out.
I like this cinema as its comfortable and spacious, regularly used for free film screenings if you are luckily enough to come across a code.
you can order tickets on the machine aswell to avoiud the queues if running late

A great place to go to the cinema as there is plenty of parking and a huge amount of places to eat and other things like bowling all in the same complex. Ticket prices could be a little better though!

I always enjoy visiting this Vue cinema in Purley Way as there as so many screens here and most of them are pretty big so a great place to go if you like to have a good cinema experience. When you first enter you are greeted by the box office and then upstairs are all the screens along with a popcorn section, sweet shop and an ice cream stand. So pretty much you can buy anything you might have a craving for to eat while watching your chosen film. In case you fancy a bite to eat beforehand though, there is a Burger King, McDonalds and Nandos along with a host of other restaurants nearby that you can visit before entering the cinema.
TIP: If you want to skip the queue you can use the machines located behind the box office at the foot of the escalators even if you haven’t pre ordered them.
