Good selection of meat and produce. .Nice café inside. Doesn’t open until noon on Sunday.

The store is clean, well designed, and has a great selection of items. Despite being quite busy the store did not feel cramped. The fruit was inexpensive and fresh. They have a cool little self-​scan system for speeding up the checkout process. I have not used it, but maybe I should since there was a bit of a wait even in the «baskets only» queue.

This is the Lindsay Lohan of markets. It usually looks good and has some nice attributes but now and then the train jumps the track. Sometimes it’s the final ingredient in a dish you’re ready to make (and where they have everything else).
Or sometimes they are just flat out missing a main ingredient, like coca cola, green onions or bourbon. I’ve also stood in line when they’ve decided to shut down the line right in front of me, even though I’ve been standing there for quite some time.
On the flip side, there’s not much better in the area when it comes to larger markets. And they do have some higher end meats, seafoods and cheeses, plus a decent wine collection. It’s «almost» a really good market.

Always good produce, but frequently runs out of the special offers in their weekly magazine by Saturday afternoon. The check-​out staff are fantastic though I wish they would stop automatically saying Sorry for the wait. (N.B.Management it doesn’t mean anything if it is said every time!)
My only real gripe is that when the floor staff get together chatting there’s sometimes aggression and attitude in the conversation.

Shopping at Waitrose is expensive, but it’s my nearest major supermarket, so when I can’t get what I need at the local Tesco Express, I go to Waitrose. I only wish I could afford to shop there all the time!
The food is of excellent quality and they have an impressive variety too. It’s never crowded and the staff are friendly and helpful. They also have a coffee bar near the front of the store and though I’ve never bought anything from there myself, I have to say the food always look tempting and the coffee smells great.

I now understand why people love Waitrose. This place has great food and a level of service that can only come from a company with great spirit. Evidently the way that the company gives all it’s profits to the staff and has a great ethos really works !
This store is brand new as it has replaced a Woolworths that has shut down. Ironically it has probably employed more people than the Woolworths did ?
It is not cheap and personally I can only afford to go there for the odd thing, but I am very happy when I do and it is good value for the great food they sell.

Waitrose have replaced woolworths on the edgeware road and while of course we miss the pick & mix, the range of food makes up for it. good range not too pricey and elcairs are cheaper here than in the somerfield across the road. However it loses a star because the best thing about waitrose is the hot meat counter be it sausages, bacon or most important of all the whole roast chickens!
Whenever I’ve gotten one in this store its been dried out and almost inedible, so I still use the one on marylebone high street because no matter what time of the day the chickens are always juicey (and double bagged!)
