I popped into the watch club with my son Arron to have a look while in town on business, I was met by a friendly happy young lady who was great and made me feel very at home, I sat down and Tany ask what I was interested in and to be honest I wasn’t really sure as I’ve been fortunate enough to own many beautiful watches and hadn’t made my mind up, Tany would of got as many watches out as I wanted with no hassle, Tany is knowledgable and freindly and very likeable. We did the deal on a 26 year old GMT1st edition, I’m chuffed to bits. Anyone who says they are arrogant are wrong, as they are very nice people, please remember that exclusive jewlers and watch shop staff are always a little bit cautious at first due to the values and London crime, It’s not intimidation or arrogance as some people say, get past the first minute and settle down and enjoy your purchase. I must add they are extreamly busy it doesn’t matter if you are spending £1k or 50k they will give you as much time, help, advice as you will ever need. If you are nice to people you can be rewarded in more ways than just one. WooHoo as good as it gets. Bob and Aaron

Luxury watch shopping in London can be a daunting task. The good news it that London is riddled with luxury watch shops, but the bad news is that they can arrogant to the point of disgust for no legitimate reason. This leads me to why I’m writing this review which is a result of the WatchClub’s customer service skills. Let me provide a little bit of context as I was a repeat customer until recently. My purchase includes two great watches there –an Audemars Piquet Royal Oak with a JLC movement and and a blue Panerai Luminor which are two watches that are discontinued models. In both instances I would give a deposit for half the amount to reserve it and then come back in a 2 – 3 days to pay the balance in full from a debit card. For a couple reasons — reward points and to transfer money from accounts. I went in today to buy a Rolex Bruiser which is priced in line with the other two watches I purchased and wanted to buy it. I said let me provide a deposit on my Amex. However, they complained about that because Amex charges the highest fee to merchants but that is the only card I have outside of my debit card. Still, I offered to place something down on my Amex and I will be back in 2 – 3 days to pick it up. The sales rep, Tani, had to ask Alex the manager(I believe that’s his name) and he said«no.» I was shocked especially because I’ve bought a few watches there and even referred people. His reasoning was because that was the only one which made no sense because he was selling the watch and I’ve bought two watches there. Then Tani proceeded to tell me they were going to list the watch from £5,950 to £6,250 but if the watch was still available after a few days when I did my transfer then he swore to me I could have it for £5,950 which made no sense. When I heard that bait and switch I was kind of taken back because that’s just a shitty customer experience to make a few hundred pounds considering they sell watches for tens of thousands of pounds. I’m not sure if this was a pressure tactic to get to buy right then and there, but it was simply a question of logistics for an existing customer. Amazing! Anyway, if anyone reads this and chooses not to buy a watch from them please let me know. I hope this review persuades someone to checkout other watch dealers in the area. As for me, I’ve been using in London as they have comparable products with a slightly better price. I just purchased a JLC from them. Dino rocked! WatchClub management take some feedback from your customers and use common sense. Anyone reading this, check out my photos that show the same day rate increase. What a pathetic way to make a buck especially for a luxury boutique based in London.
