Waterloo Body Station

This review is for the spa/​salon in the basement.
As many times as I’ve been to Waterloo Body Station, I never knew that there was another level of goodness underneath. At the end of the hallways in the back of the stores, there’s a flight of stairs that leads down to a zen’d out oasis complete with earthy décor and tranquil music. There are three treatment rooms and a cozy waiting area in case an appointment runs over.
Now, I’m not a hundred percent sure how this area operates, but I believe three different business owners rent these rooms from Waterloo Body Station*. And I’m here to talk about Beauty By Nature by Harminder. She offers natural and organic facials, manicures, pedicures, threading, and waxing. I specifically sought out her waxing services because she only uses all natural sugar wax. As my last post insinuates, I have sensitive skin so I can’t use your average salon grade wax. Luckily, the sugar wax has never caused an allergic reaction. Harminder herself is very professional, knowledgable, and friendly. She always makes my appointments a pleasant experience :)
*NB: to book an appointment with Harminder, you simply call the shop; not a special line. Though she accepts payment by card, there is a £1.50 surcharge. I usually just pay in cash.

If I could take a bath in one thing, it would probably be pasta, just like in Patch Adams. And, if I could lotion up with one thing afterwords, it would be the sunshine of your love. Since I can’t do either of those things, I’ll have to settle for other alternatives. Waterloo Body Station has a great set of other options — organic, made in England, au natural products. Beautiful body butters and handcrafted soaps. Buckwheat pillows and scrub clothes. It’s all a bit pricey, but beautiful as butter baking in the Bolivian sun. Smooth and creamy, the goodness of the Earth. I haven’t bought anything, but if I want some damn nice hand creams, I know where to go.
The staff was also quite friendly and nice like the characters of Sesame Street minus the high-​pitched voices and hirsute costumes. As I understand, they also do massages and other such bodyful delights.

Waterloo Body Station has such a delightful ambience. The store smells so fresh and holistic and all of their items are shelved in such an appealing way. They carry a range of body care and relaxation products, from soaps to candles and more, at inexpensive prices. All of their products are sourced and made in the UK, so nothing in the building has been wasting away in some warehouse overseas waiting to be shipped. If you need to buy your mom or any girlfriend a gift come here and they’ll love you more than you could ever imagine. Also, if you need a massage, they have a range of practitioners that can hook you up with a serious Shiatsu from £30 or more.
