Beautiful restaurant and definitely worth the visit. The menu steps outside the norm and is beautifully presented my only criticism was that my honey ice cream had melted quite a bit by the time I got it. Still delicious though. I had the scallop that was cooked perfectly and the sea bass as a main that also was perfect and very fresh. I do think it was slightly over priced especially the starters.

We went in January with friends and were a bit disappointed. For the price and with a Michelin star, one goes in with expectations high. It was OK in the end, but it was a bumpy ride and I probably won’t drop that kind of dosh there again. My food was nice, but not amazing(main: venison). A couple of my friends weren’t impressed with their pheasant, saying it was boring. The starters were the star of the show, but they rushed it to us while we were still eating our amuse-bouches. Dessert was nice. Cheese course disappointing; mainly due to 1 type of oat cracker and an unpleasant onion chutney. The service was all over the place, until I had a word with the manager, and he made it up to us by personally taking care of us(and a couple of other things). I was grateful for the turnaround at the end. Cool art on the walls.

Dining alone at the bar. Super friendly bartenders and knowledgeable about their cocktails and spirits. The smoked eel appetizer is heavenly and the venison main course with chestnut purée and pickled cranberries was cooked perfectly. The new old world club feel is comfortable alone, with a date or with friends.

Fabulous dinner in a fun but not obnoxiously loud environment. Staff was really obliging with letting us try a few wines before settling on a bottle and the food was outstanding all around. Will be back!

The honey comb ice cream was very delicious Food was nice but had the scallops for starter and it was really dry and overcooked. Overall a bit overppriced as I have had better

My experience tonight at Wild Honey was slightly mixed unfortunately. The food overall was pretty good, even if the main course of brill was served a bit cold in the middle. The servers were not very attentive so for example we had to chase the bread and we were asked multiple times as to whether we were looking to order drinks. The place wasn’t that busy but the service lacked the joined up-ness that you would expect at these prices. The dessert selection of petit fours were delicious as was the honeycomb ice cream. The wine list offered not a great deal at the more reasonable end of the spectrum — in the case of the reds just a few wines at £30 before ascending to aGeorgian wine and a Romanian wine that many would know nothing about, before hitting the near £60 price bracket. It is not for a second that we had a bad meal, more that I was possibly expecting more and didn’t get it.

Pre-theater dinner spot. I really loved this place — the food was amazing and the service was impeccable. The one thing I found a bit odd is that there is no background music. Now, when this place gets hopping… that is no problem at all. BUT, when you are eating dinner at 530pm so you can get to the theater on time, AND you are eating alone… its really creepy. You just sit there and eat in complete silence whilst all the staff just stares at you. Super awkward.

I heard about Wild Honey because it was awarded a Michelin star in 2008. I made reservations for my girlfriend and I on a trip to London earlier this summer and we had a great time. I’m not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from, but I found them to be very courteous and expedient. The pork belly appetizer and the lamb entrée were amazing, but the honeycomb ice cream stole the show. Best of all, the prices were extremely reasonable! I would recommend this place to all of my friends.

I disagree with all negative reviews about food been served cold. The place is sick. Before coming to the restaurant I spent a week around the area and almost thought British food is only about fish and chips — wrong. This place offers impeccable sophisticated food. We ordered salmon as an appetizer. It was melting in my mouth. I only wish the portion would be endless. As main entrees we ordered roast saddle and braised shoulder of rabbit, white beans, aubergine and Bouillabaisse ‘traditional Marseille style. The rabbit was so juicy and so tasteful. It came with French style baked potatoes and that one was probably the best in my life. Bouillabaisse ‘traditional Marseille style had really fresh fish and the portion was generous. What was special about this entrée is that they bring you fish and vegetables on one plate and souses and soup separately and you can make it how you prefer. Not to mention that the selection of wine they offer is tremendous. You can get a bottle of nice French/Spanish wine starting at $ 30 or about 18 pounds. The also have a great selection of cheese. We finished our night with their out of control honey ice cream and raspberry warm cake with ice cream. I was in heaven after trying both. I recommend going for their special, which is £22.50 and you get one appetizer, entrée and dessert. That deal is great and I only wish I would see it before we ordered food:) The only reason why the place is getting 4 stars is the service. Our waiter was not warm at all and would never follow up with us on our orders. However, there was another nice waiter who was so kind to offer free cheese and crackers to our daughter. If you want to go for some good food in London this place is definitely one of them.

Let me start by saying I plan to go back to Wild Honey as I feel I might have just hit it on a bad day. My expectations were very very high when I walked in for lunch and was greeted by the friendly hostess. I am a HUGE fan of Arbutus, its Boho chic sister restaurant in Soho. Wild Honey feels like the successful older brother with the office job. The Mayfair space is more on the traditional side, yet not stuffy, perhaps a sort of more youthful take on classic. I loved the brasserie style bar you pass as you walk in on your way to the tables in the back. The tables were very close together, and I think here is where I started to feel a bit put off. Once you squeeze in(nearly knocking the drink of person at the table next to you), you realize you are practically sitting with the people next to you. You can hear their entire conversation, try as you might to block out the fact that they can’t decide whether to go on holiday in Australia or go skiing in Switzerland and whether or not the children’s nanny should come along too and if so is it OK for her to fly economy while the family is in Club class. Oh dear. If that wasn’t enough they had to have a lengthy discuss between themselves whether or not it would be ok to have a glass of wine with lunch or if that might upset the pre holiday diet. I found the menu a similar continental flair, yet a bit more fussy, to the one at Arbutus. I ordered a starter that was unremarkable, and then a fish dish which was quite good, yet somehow lacking. I might have ordered wrong in the sense that I was probably more in the mood for meat since when I saw the plate of the person across from me it looked incredibly tantalizing. On that note I will say, go check it out as I plan to go again. Watch this space for an update…
