This is the ‘pop-​up’ shop of William Curley Chocolatier. Let me extend a BIG thank you to W.C.C. because I really didn’t want to travel all the way out to Richmond to buy a 1.40 truffle. (Okay, there’s a shop in Belgravia and a concession in Harrods, but I don’t really fancy a trip to those spots either.) Until Dec. 31st, fortunately, all I need do is take a short trip to SoHo, if I’m having a tremendous truffle tizzy as the shop is just a hop, skip and jump from Charing X station.
This venue boasts not only individual truffles, but also bars, and, my fave, a few different varieties of cocoa. When I say «cocoa» I mean chocolate shavings in a tin. SHAVINGS of CHOCO in a tin, people! Yes, it’s expensive at 14 quid, but let this be one of few impulse buys you’ll allow yourselves this holiday season.
