Ok, so I have been walking past Wok to Walk for quite some time now with the assumption that the food is pre-made, dump in the carton, generic chain food. I was wrong. After an enjoyable Unilocal night out Christoph and myself were peckish and we decided to opt against burgers for the healthier option of noodles — well it is January. So, as we inspected the menu more we found that their were three simple steps: 1. Choose your noodle/rice/veg option — we both went for wheat rice noodles(healthy remember?!) 2. Choose your meat/fish/veg — there’s so many options to choose which would suit Anyones taste. We opted for prawns(standard fresh veg comes with) 3. Choose your sauce. Again, a large a mouth of sauces to choose from, from mild to spicy there’s something for everyone! We chose the Bangkok sauce which was a coconut curry sauce. Christoph is allergic to eggs so I asked if it was possible to have one without egg — the nice gentleman smiled and said of course! Upon further inspection I realised that the noodles were made fresh, in a wok, right in front of you! So within 5 minutes we had a fresh, reasonably healthy, stir fry in a cardboard box which actually tasted pretty damn good. The prawns were juicy, the veg had a nice crunch and I love any curry sauce so I was happy! It’s the perfect option for a late night grab and I have no doubt I’ll be giving another sauce and topping a try next time. My only negative is I felt £6 each was a tad pricey but I don’t know if that’s me forgetting London prices… Hmm.

I really don’t know what’s taken me so long to review this place. seeing as how I’ve eaten here like a dozen times! Hungry but not in the mood to sit down and wait for a millennium for your food to arrive? Want to take a quick and justified trip to flavour town but don’t know where to go? This is the spot baby! For under £7 you can have a box with flavour from Asia itself! Damn just thinking about it has me all messed up in the right way! I’ll be there tomorrow dammit! Only thing I’d say is that technically for the amount you get it’s slightly over priced … Eek. Can’t have it all

Love Wok to Walk. It’s a lifesaver after the party/club/bar/lounge. My only gripe is that it’s a bit overpriced.

You pick a base: egg/whole-wheat/rice/udon noodles or jasmine/short-grain rice or veggies Then add ingredients: chicken, beef, tofu, prawns, brocoli, pak choi, cashew nuts etc. Choose the sauce No sitting besides 3 – 4 small chairs. Definitely a take-out option. Big portions Decent quality — although I am not adventurous enough to try the meat Stars off for the wait that can be long, it really depends on the team working. Also double-check that your meal has all the ingredients you requested. Several times they forgot the cashew nuts and I had to request them. In a nutshell: fine once in a while
