Cute little shop in Borough market, must visit if you like Noodles and you are around Borough Market. The noodles are great and you get the option to create your own noodles, i tend to like my food spicy, so the first time i tried it i think i overdid it so the second time i learned my lesson and was more careful. I added chicken and vegetables but to be honest i was not able to finish the whole alone. Great food and great value with big portions

Should you find yourself in Brorough Market, and you should, perhaps you’ll find the bites here and there at the market stand and the crowd a bit overwhelming. Wokit is a fantastic choice where you get market fresh items, cleverly prepared, and get to dine in a fun, funky environment. There are quite a few fast casual places in the US that have the similar concept of select your items and watch them stir fried before you. Here they com straight from the market. In addition to the usual items — chocked, beef, tofu– they have clever items such as sweet potato buckwheat noodles and vegetable spirals for those starch or gluten free, You select you rice or noodle, add your protein, pick veg, and add a sauce. The sauces are also interesting and delicious. Some are quite familiar such as teriyaki but others are more clever such as black bean barbecue The staff is so friendly and the owner is running about talking to customers and tidying up. My son and I loved our inexpensive lunch and would highly recommend it as a great break from the other fast London places. It is so very close to many crucial tourist places it really is a must.

How it works: 1) You pick your carb:(£4) — selection of rice(jasmin/whole grain/etc) — selection of noodles(udon/egg/rice/sweet potato/etc) Both come with basic vegetables(cabbage/carrots/bean sprouts) 2) pick your meat(£2.50-£3) — chicken, pork, tofu, salmon, duck, beef 3) pick your sauce — coconut/black bean/hoisin/jiggee sesame/etc 4) add extra veg(£1.50 each…) — cauliflower/pak choi/bamboo shoots/etc Overall, the pot is very large and will definitely fill your appetite. However, I think the extra veg is slightly expensive for what it is. The place is small so finding a seat can be difficult if it’s busy. Would recommend going if the market is closed. It isn’t anything special, and there are far better wok places in London, but limited around London Bridge. (Would give 3.5 if possible)

Good concept for a fast lunch to go. You pick your carb(udon, rice, sweat potato and buckwheat) or carb substitute(egg, courgette, carrot, cauliflower«rice») and then your protein, veg, and sauce, and then the wokkers mix everything together mix everything together in an easy cardboard pot. I got the courgette, tofu, with veggie and tamari sauce and felt like it was a healthier alternative for lunch.

Excellent noodle fix in Borough Market that feels healthier than a lot of the other options — you’ll have to walk past the delicious smelling empanadas and the super popular fish wraps to get there, but it’s worth it I promise! With a build your own menu, it’s easy to caught up in adding veggies like snap peas or mushrooms but at £1.50 a pop its best to add just one if you must. The bases — either noodles or rices with a few options of each — are £4 and meat ranges from £3.50-£4. Then the sauce is included. The line to order took way longer than it should have but once my order was in, it was about a 3 min wait for the enormous pot of steaming rice and veg to be handed over. I had gone for whole grain rice with chicken and the miso coriander sauce and added snap peas. It was perfection … I highly recommend that sauce! It was also easily enough for two meals — maybe share one, then you’ll have room for dessert elsewhere in the market. For GFers: probably your best bet in the market. Lots of options and the menu is clearly marked in each section which ones are gluten free, and there about 3 in each so you don’t feel limited.

Awesome! There are so many choices and is good for people with allergies or are gluten free. The staff are very kind and the atmosphere is great. Prices range from 8 – 13 pounds. Definitely a place to stop by if you’re at the borough market.

Having read about wok it on a few blogs and websites, I was excited to try it out, especially as it’s just a few minutes from my house. Located in a prime spot in borough market, the small storefront is welcoming, bright with a rustic yet very modern clean feel. We were welcomed by the owner, who was fantastic at explaining all the ingredients and making suggestions for combinations. The menu is is simple, based on a «build your own» stir fry concept, with a choice of various bases(rice noodles or faux noodles like courgette or sweet potato), protein, vegetables and a range of homemade and healthy sauces. For my first order, I opted for the courgette noodles, pork, mushrooms and black bean bbq sauce. My mix was then stir fried in one of the two massive woks just behind the til, served up to me in matter of moments. The resultant meal was fresh, delicious and most importantly healthy! Such a great new option for a quick, affordable healthy meal in the area! Will definitely be back, as with all the choices and toppings, there will be an infinite number of combinations to try!
