The bbq is grilled over charcoal which you dont get to see often in London. We ordered the beef bbq platter, but unfortunately they didnt had any short beef ribs so we had the belly pork instead. With any of the bbq you order you will get lettuce and a range of side dishes and sauce to go with it. This was great as you dont have to order it separately. Pajeon(Korean pancake) was nicely made — good in taste and texture. The Yang yeum chicken was okay but not my best that I have had in London. Sam Gae Tang is ginseng chicken soup. It was nice but I prefered a stronger flavor of ginseng and garlic. Probably not to every one liking of taste. Ginseng is a flavour you either like or hate. You get good decent portion size which make it great for sharing. Price is decent for the size you get. The staff are friendly Although they have vent, u will come out smelling smokey!

Great food. Great staff. Friendly atmosphere. Good prices. What more can you want. And healthy too. People forget that these days. It’s not Chinese so get over it. People forget good food these days and just like to complain. But this place can’t be flawed. Unless your a moron.

Never knew there was a authentic Korean BBQ right next to Finchley Central station. Reservation not necessary needed unless you’re coming in a big group. Staff are all Korean so you can tell it’s good food but the service is a bit slow because they’re a bit under staffed. Despite that, the food is amazing and I would definitely recommend the short beef galbi and pork neck was nice. The japche has a homely Korean taste to it and it’s perfect. The bill came to around £100 for four which is really good deal in London. You do come out smelling like you’ve been working in the kitchen but hey ho.

Lovely place for an evening out. Food was really fresh and tasty. Service was also excellent and they offered us advice about how best to cook and eat the food.

My husband had been really wanting to try this restaurant out as he walks by it everyday and unfortunately it wasn’t all that great. We ordered the bbq set for £30 since that’s the main thing — the bbq is in the middle of the table and you cook the meats yourself. We were told it would be enough for four people but decided to order a couple of rice and sides, just as well but we still left hungry and didn’t want to order more food as it was pricey. May go back and try something else instead and skip the bbq.

Great little Korean restaurant right next to Finchley Central station. After the New Year shenanigans we decided we needing something delicious and not too unhealthy. As we walked past on New Years day happily we realised it was open and even better they had a lunch special on of £5.99 for one of their courses. I opted for a soup and my husband had a stir fry. The food came pretty quickly and was served with 3 side dishes. My soup came with rice and my husband also got a miso soup. I also opted for a green tea with brown rice geinmacha which I’ve now got addicted to and purchased some for home consumption. The food was delicious and felt so much better after eating. I also noticed that the tables had barbecues in the middle, after speaking to the waitress I found out that they do charcoal style BBQ, I will be back to try this another time. The food was so tasty that we ordered a take-away from them tonight, I had Beef Bulgogi(a traditional Korean rice dish) and also a starter of Pa Jeon — a Korean pancake stuffed with seafood. They were both really tasty dishes and look forward to sampling more of the menu in future.

Superb Korean restaurant. Minimalist(zen?) décor with yummy Korean dishes. Delicious Kim Chi, nice mains. They also do cookery lessons. Excellent food, good service. A place I plan to return to with friends.

Yijo has changed hands, but it is still an outstanding Korean restaurant with very authentic food. The service is really friendly and courteous as well. Yijo offers one of those in-table BBQs, which is a fun experience to try, and, much to my delight, they have Korean sushi, which I just can’t find often enough. Two thumbs up for this Korean gem in the heart of Church End.

This is a Korean BBQ restaurant close to Finchley Central tube. Went for supper there one evening, the food was good but very spicy(even for my Korean friend). Prices were a little bit higher then I would expect outside of London, we paid 80 pounds for three people including one bottle of wine. I would go back there but probably in a larger group.

This is a totally authentic Korean restaurant which has had high standards since inception, many years ago. Well above average. A little hidden as it is off the high street, though very close to the Finchley Central southside tube exit. Well worth an exploratory visit. Once you have adjusted your palate to the unusual dishes, you will thoroughly enjoy it. The menu does go some way to helping you understand Korean food so that you can plan. If you are unfamilliar with the menu, go for one of the set menu options, and be prepared for a good feast. The Kimchee they make is so good it is a sideline and sold on to other places in London, and the owner has written & published a book on the cusine. The wine list I find a little conservative, but there is good drinking and of course most of the customers drink beer. Frequented by lots of Japanese as well as locals.
