A really nice place for brunch in Stoke Newington. We ordered the traditional Turkish eggs(menemen) and love it. The service is great and the place is quirky, you can find a lot of books to browse while you wait. It’s not expensive and you can have a proper brunch for about 10 quid.

Z bar is my favourite Brunch spot in Stokey. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is that the new menu doesn’t do the amazing jacket potatoes that they used to do! The staff can vary from warm and welcoming to cold and distant, but are mostly the former. There are always books laying around for you to pick up and read whilst you enjoy your coffee and they do the BEST fresh orange juice in the area. It is always a little busy but you shouldn’t have to wait longer than 5 minutes to get a table. There is seating both inside and out, and possibly even some downstairs, though I have never sat down there. It sadly isn’t dog friendly — unless you sit outside, which in winter is a little bit of a punishment and in the summer is hard to find a seat.

Delicious, authentic Turkish Menemen for £5 — £6. I tried the scrambled eggs with feta, turkish sausage, peppers and spinach. Yum yum yum! The portions were big and I must say I loved the atmosphere, ambiance and the look of this cute contemporary Turkish café. The service was impressively good and I will definitely back again. Invite your friends to Z’s because they certainly will enjoy the Turkish savoury breakfast(you do get sweet porridge as well ;))

I randomly walked in Stoke Newington and found this place. What a chance !! The prices are small(especially when you’re used to the prices in west London) and the food is delicious ! I had an halloumi burger(part of the lunch special: with onion rings, fries and a diet coke it was only 6,95£) and was really surprised by how good it was(I’m a meat lover…) My friend had an avocado-bacon-eggs toast and was thrilled too. Plus, the place is really lovely, there are plenty of books to read and the staff is welcoming. I’ll be back for more turkish food(can’t wait to try the Menemen)

Best Menemen breakfast! It’s actually the only thing I’ve ever had on the menu here as it’s so good. Try it with Turkish sausage and feta if you’re feeling particularly hungry. Me and my housemates frequent Café Z a lot, we’ve tried many Menemen in the area — but this is the best one I’ve had and the Turkish bread is lovely. Enjoy!

Awesome place for a cheap, hangover-curing breakfast. The Turkish eggs are incredible(baked in a dish with feta, sausage, and chili) and fill you to the brim, along with Turkish bread to soak it up. Mixed juice is also delish.

This place used to be good, but recently they halved the size of the portions Shame :-(

Wandering around Stoke Newington High St. before a show, my tummy was grumbling… and I happened upon this place. It was a nice«summer» day(as nice as you can get in London) so all of the five small tables outside were crowded. I popped in to test the place out, considering I’d never really been anywhere that served Turkish yumminess. I first bought a fresh pressed apple juice. DELICIOUS! I decided that after the apple juice, I would actually order dinner. I sat inside near the poster-plastered wall near the window and ordered the lentil soup(with mixed veggies) and another pressed apple juice. Much to my surprise, before getting my soup, the sweet waitress with short brown hair brought me over a bowl of fresh bread and a plate of olives. AWESOME. She brought out my lentil soup, which was the best lentil soup I’ve had from a café, and I sat there loving every minute. Whatever you do, if you’re in the area and thirsty/hungry… please do pop in. The light ambient music playing overhead soothes your tired soul. The staff is friendly, even helpful with directions and maps if you get lost. OH, and there’s free wi-fi!

One of my favourite cafes, great food, very reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere. Serves good quality Turkish food, snacks and sandwiches. Also you can’t go wrong with the £2.50 all day breakfast, particularly good for staving off the hangover :-)
