This is a good, local butchers. They sell primarily organic meat, but also offer jams and chutneys and lunchtime sandwiches, which are good. They sell whole chickens, steaks, chops, mince, offal– everything really, and can order in anything if you have any unusual requests. Although the meat is more expensive, you feel like you’re getting better value for money– you actually know where the food has come from rather than the generic farms supermarkets get their meat from– and can buy exactly what you need. I felt a little rushed when I went there, but the butcher was able to tell me where the meat came from and how best to cook it, both of which are an important service for me. Worth the extra money.
