the asda ordeal, not what i call a pleasant experiance. Once you have managed to get the trolley over the new ramp that has been installed you enter a freezing cold shop. The battle of getting down the aisles begins, if you manage to get past the number of cages full of stock or empty boxes you are likely to get run over by a large cleaning machine. If you manage to get to the deli counter in one piece, they are either not open or have to wait a long time for somebody to wander down to serve you. The bakery needs a rocket behind them, many a time the shelfs are empty at 9 oclock in the morning, and then you are told the rolls wont be ready for half an hour. If the store is 24 hours open then you would expect rolls to be ready, even when i have ordered them i have been told we had to make hot x buns, you will have to come back. If you are wrapped up enough you can go though the chilled area but dont hang around, it is freezing. On to the check-outs, if you are lucky you get one at the far end if not you freeze while loading and paying. Finally you take your trolley back over the new ramp and then battle to get your £1 back earier if you have a pair of pliers. A copy of this will be sent to the manager.

A big usual ASDA store. Good and fresh quality, but the selection especially on fish or vegetable is not the best. However, for the weekly shopping it’s fine and for the special things you have to go to London anyway.

I loved Asda while in the UK. As a fervent Wal Mart shopper here in the US, I was pleased to see a branch of the Wal Mart family in the UK. They had household items, cleaning, cookware, clothing, and loads of fabulous food. I loved the selection in the store, and got to be quite fond of some of their items not available here in the US, such as chicken slices, double cream, coronation chicken and cheese and onion sandwich fillers, and the large, large selection of curries and Indian products. They also have a great custom pizza area and the greeters were very friendly.

Asda is a very huge store located in Wigmore area Luton. It is in Retail Park. It has got wide parking space. As the store is open 24 hours there is almost rush at any given time. They sell almost everything, including frozen food to CDs, DVDs, clothes, etc. As it’s the part of world’s biggest part of supermarket group it has good quality food and other stuff with low prices. Recently they have introduced a fresh fish section, in this store. It also has a petrol pump. Though there are lots of ongoing offers, and quite rush all the time, it has lots of checkouts so there are no long queues. The staff is always courteous, knowledgeable and happy to help. I really love this shop as it has got wide selection of food than any other store in Luton with low prices compared to others.

Asda is one of the big supermarkets in Luton, this is situated up by the airport. It has just had a major refit and looks great. The carpark is huge, it also has a petrol station. Inside there is a newsagents and everything else you’ll find inside the usual asda. There is George clothing, homeware etc and dvd’s/cd’s etc Staff are helpful and friendly.
