Beefeater

This place is very hit and miss. When I go on a Friday evening the food and service is always great. The staff are helpful and friendly. The prices are reasonable. If I go midweek its terrible. The service is so slow that I have felt like just walking out. Its a real shame because I usually like to eat out on a week day
So if you want to try it, book a table for friday or saturday evening, midweek dont bother.

Went to the Brache today and the service /​food quality are absolutely abysmal. The building externally and interior décor are very good and there is plenty of parking, but that’s about where it ends. Went to the restaurant side and no-​one to seat us, so we sat ourselves went to search for some service and was told to go back to the entrance and wait bloody cheek, we didn’t of course. Ordered the sharing platter to start terrible — supposedly contains nacho (cheese salsa, etc, etc.) but was just a handful of chips. Main meal was equally disappointing, apparently they offer ‘bottomless’ chips, which is a great way to make money when all the waiters are hidden in the back in fairness they did offer when we had finished. Steak was like a bit of leather, and seemly cooked for a week, dispute ordering medium. Had to go to the bar to pay and wait for them to find a chip+pin machine. If you’ve got a day to spare and have no taste spuds, then highly recommenced.

After reading the other reviews, I must have gone on an off day!
The service was good but the food left much to be desired. The portions were small and overpriced for what was served. A lot of the starters were deep fried in batter or crumbs, designed to fill you up… at maximum cost. The three 7oz steaks we ordered, (more like 4 oz when cooked), were not cooked to the degrees we wanted and were cold.
No refunds were made as we had ‘eaten most of the steaks’ before we reported the problems.
I wrote to head office and complained and was sent a £42. 00 voucher for my efforts. With this we ate at another Beefeater but our experience was much tha same.

Good Food, Friendly Staff. Value and quality for all. Have cheaper Menu before 6pm. You can still dine out cheaply at anytime really. Would recommend.

Lovely fresh cooked food, would recommend to anyone. Nice atmosphere for all the family

great food, much better than its sister pub in warden. great service and the food was freshly made. it was a nice peacefull atmosphere and dint seem like a pub at all.
