We haven’t been here for ages but last we went was for a sunday buffet and it is lovely all the time, but the only thing that puts us off on going there again is that they are always coming up to you and asking more drinks or anymore food on side, yet when you go to a restaurant you just want to chill and talk to your family and relax, and if want more drinks or anything else you just call a waiter over. As there is always lots of staff there for you to call over. They normally use the can to spray in toilets when your eating aswell. Other by that a good restaurant to go to. 2012

This is a lovely local Indian Restaurant. Great service regardless of how busy they are. Is great for a sunday buffet. all you can eat including starters and mains. Great value for money.

After reading some of the reviews my partner and I thought we would try the Indian Ocean and all I can say is we must have been eating in a different restaurant to those that have left comments on here as this place is awful! We went for the Sunday buffet, we should have stayed at home. They had chicken tikka for starters, it looked and tasted like nothing we had ever seen. The chicken was pale yellow and was in a watery sauce, nothing like the tradtional bright red pieces cooked in the tandoor. For mains they served Chicken tikka masala and Lamb bhuna. For the chicken dish they used the same chicken as they had used for the starters and was in a runny far too sweet sauce and the lamb dish was very bland with no hint of any spice, it was more like a lamb casserole, sorry a mutton casserole as clearly they use cheap cuts of meat! The chef should be embarassed that he is serving up this food and have the cheek to call it ‘the best indian taste experience’ as advertised on their website. The drinks were far too expensive, 2 and a half pints cost more than 2 adult buffets! Overall this place should be advoided as I really cant think of a positive thing to say about it.

I would agree that this is, on its day, the best Indian Restaurant in the area. However, for such an ethnic city Luton does not have any(unless I have missed them) really top class Indian restaurants. By and large Indian Ocean is fine although I tend to avoid it earlier in the week because sometimes the food is poor. I suspect that on the quieter nights they use a less experienced chef. Certainly the athmosphere and the décor is very good and makes sitting in the restaurant a pleasant experience. I woudl have no hesitation in recommending it for a Friday or Saturday night.

This is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in Luton. I have been going there for years. Even mid week it is busy and their banquet nights are a must for value. The parking can be difficult at times, but it is worth the hassle. Their take aways are also top value. If you order any popadums it comes with some great pickes etc. But you must try the ‘red sauce’ It is the best! We have never found it anywhere else. My daughter has just moved back to the area and the highlight for her is being back near the Indian Ocean!

Large indian restaurant with take away service. Buffets available on sundays and meals for £9.99 mid week. Service polite but can be a little slow when busy. Very good value, the meals are delicious and easily one of the best in Luton, if not the best. Located in a busy shopping area, there is parking roadside but it does get busy. You wont have a bad meal here.

This restaurant is located away from the town centre, which is not a bad thing at all if you know Luton! Parking can be difficult there as it is very popular, because the food is of such amazing quality. There is nowhere better in Luton. The naan breads are very very tasty indeed, and I would recommend having the buffet meal there, which is excellent value for money. The fish dishes are particularly nice and they also have a party room. There is plenty of veggie options available too. Ten out of ten for this great place to eat, would recommend to anyone. Also the atmosphere is very good after the refurbishment.
