Apple Store

Avoid apple store, unless you like to hug the virus!! I am writing to share a SHOCKING experience I had today in apple store, the Manchester Trafford Centre branch.

Due to being exempt, and not wearing a mask, I was offered a visor instead. I found it dirty and smelly and appeared to have been previously used!! To my shocked reaction, the staff said "but they are cleaned before being passed to the next customer"! How can they clean all other parts of the visor including the elastic band?! Visors and masks must not be shared. That's very obvious. The store manager claimed she is not responsible for letting people know about the visors having being used before. She said no body asked them to do so. I was then offered a normal textile mask. The worse scenario happened when no matter how much I tried to explain I have respiratory problems and get breathlessness if I wear mask, the manager made it clear that I would be served only if I wore mask. Unbelievable, she made me choose between feeling shortage of breath and go for previously used visor. Apple store is a virus camp, I'm aging how many customers used the same visors. apple is responsible for this and the poor service.

It is even more disappointing to see such thing from a business beast like apple.

The one thing I don’t particularly like about Apple Stores is that they are always so packed. Of course it speaks to their product, but it can make going in to take a look at something a bit of a nightmare. I can recommend going earlier in the morning, less people! It looks exactly like other stores, so no surprise there. And staff can be difficult to spot, but look for navy blue shirts and iPads :)
We had to stop in because Mr. Snarky’s grand spanking new MacBook from his employer had a loose key. While it isn’t a huge deal, I think we were more concerned about the kittens getting a hold of the button. One of them really likes to consume non-​food items! Anyway, Mr. Snarky was able to make an appointment online, so we wouldn’t have to wait for ages at the store. At the store, if you have an appointment, head to the back and look for a staff member as there is usually someone there checking people in for their appointments.
It didn’t take too long for someone to help us, but after disappearing with the laptop for awhile he determined it wasn’t as simple as sticking it back on. They asked us if we could leave the laptop and pick it up sometime during the week, but as it is Mr. Snarky’s work computer, there is no way he could part with it. So they gave him some paperwork and asked him to drop it off next weekend and that if we dropped it off before noon, it would be ready same day. It took about an hour and a half, but they called us when it was finished, so we could have a wander about the Trafford Centre. Everyone we encountered was very helpful and very friendly… although they didn’t seem to want to take my 10 year-​old iBook or iPod with spinny wheel for an Apple Museum. Darn.

This Apple store is much like every Apple store in a shopping centre. Lots of Apple stuff, big tables, people checking their Facebook and lots of people in blue tops. There are Apple Stores which are more special and more unique but this one is like most in shopping centres.
Normally I go to the Apple Store in Arndale Centre but have had to come here a couple times in the recent-​ish past. One time was to get a replacement iPhone and another time to get the (then) new iPhone — I was one of those people who queues! It was not on the launch day and about a week after I think but I still queued for about an hour. I had made the effort to get to the Trafford Centre so might as well queue now!
Unless you are just going to have a play a gadget or buy something which you can just pick up from the shelves, I would recommend making an appointment with a Apple Genius. It may not always be necessary but you may be lucky but could save you time. Apple Stores are almost always busy but I was lucky once when they were able to see me and sort out my problem.
You know what to expect from an Apple Store and if you just want to get some free wifi and play on some (in the words of Steve Jobs (RIP)/Tim Cook/​Jony Ive) beautiful designed, intuitive, revolutionary devices, go to this or any other Apple Store.

I went in the Apple Store today to look at the new Iphone 6 plus, it was packed! People were lining up outside, who had reserved the phone, they was people trying out the new Iphones and other Apple products.
Although I am not looking for a new phone having recently upgraded my contract, I always like to look at the new Apple products and I did like the Iphone 6 plus, 1.5 inches than the Iphone 5s however I do feel the screen size is slightly too big, I liked how the phone wasn’t tied down so you couldnt really get a feel of it, it was still tied down but with a wire so you can look at it etc.
The staff didn’t really stand out in this store but I liked the Ipad near the phone telling me about the features compared to their most recent phones and the price differences.
Although, I do not approve with Apples prices for accesories etc and would rather get them from Amazon, I do like some of their products and I have been a user of their phones and tablets for some time and I have to rank this store 3 stars due to the pricing on some items and it being so busy you sometimes have to wait a good amount of time to get a go on a device and speak to a member of staff.

Gota say do no know if the 1^st reviewer bad a bad week or day and this just pushed him over the edge but wow was he wrong! Like him however I visited the apple store with dread thinking god knows how much am I going to pay for this replacement. My mag charger had stop working and because I’m out of warranty I was expecting to pay a fortune just to replace it. So I booked a «genius» appointment got there early waited around 5 mins or so and a tech came and found me and asked me the issue I was having. I explained and she ran a diagnostic tested the charger the fuse and plug itself and determined like I had it was the mag light charger portion. Here’s where it got good she said il fetch u a replacement and then your good to go! She came back with replacement explained because id bought it from the apple store online I had «wiggle» room and would receive no charge despite what my receipt said Result! The woman did her business diligently and quickly and the problem was solved in less than 20 mins and a free replacement can’t argue with that! Well done apple and your geniuses!

Love the shop design and layout, the endless rows of gadgets are also superb, always leave underwhelmed by the staff. Always feels like your interrupting a chat when I want to pay and will stick to the Internet for buying advice in future rather than be patronised when discussing potential purchases!

This is the first time I’ve ever visited an Apple Store and I was really impressed. All the various products are laid out on tables so you can experience them ‘hands on’ and there are plenty of staff members to advise you with any queries you may have. We visited on a Wednesday morning in January and the Trafford Centre itself was relatively quiet however the Apple Store was bustling. There were a couple of tables set aside for ‘Workshops’ which seemed to be tuition sessions for beginners or people just wanting to learn more about their Mac system. They also have a whole bunch of experts helping people with product queries, I think this is called a ‘Genius Bar’. My shopping companion purchased a computer and the process was efficient and professional in every way. I have to confess to being a big Apple fan so I was a bit like a kid in a sweetie shop here but managed to resist temptation on this occasion!

I’m an Apple Fan Boy so they can do no wrong.
I’ve bought several products from the store at the Trafford Centre and their training is great.

I love this store as it is right next to loads of other great shops.
The staff are friendly and are always happy to help you with all your problems.
The genius bar is great, and you can book appointments even for the same day.
They have a wide selection of speakers and accessories for your iPod.

If you’re a fan of anything Apple, you’ll love this place. The shop design is open and engaging, reflecting the values of Apple itself; and there’s a great emphasis on hands-​on learning with free demonstrations, tutorials etc. There are plenty of machines to ‘play’ with, which makes this store a must-​visit when we go to the Trafford Centre with our two kids (aged 3 and 5) — they feel they’ve missed out if they don’t have 5 minutes using the demo machines in store. There always seem to be plenty of assistants around — all seemingly very young and trendy (help: I must be getting middle-​aged). But all in all an excellent place to browse.
