Large store with McDonalds instore but all the aisles seemed really squashed together. Didn’t venture upstairs but there is one, that seems to sell non food lines. Very busy and the car park wa chaotic. Kerbs are built too wide so not enough room to turn if there is another car waiting to turn out. Cashpoints outside and very handily situated by the Trafford Centre and Krispy Kreme.

This ASDA was purpose built and a big store which stocks a large range of goods. It is opposite the Trafford Centre and easily reached just off the M60 with plenty of parking and open 24 hours. On the ground floor there is a good range of food items, from fresh to boxed and tinned. There is also a McDonalds instore and a cigarette and magazine counter. The upstairs can be reached via an escalator. Upstairs there is a good stock of clothes and electricals. The entertainment section is good with a vast range of DVD and music titles. This store is ideally placed for all your shopping needs and with good opening hours it is convenient for everybody.

A huge ASDA situated directly the Trafford Centre. The store is on two floors with the entire George clothing range on on the upper floor. Also on this floor is an excellent range of toys, sports goods, gift ware and seasonal items. You will also find the electrical and homeware departments(covering both soft furnishings and tables etc) The music department is at the very end of this floor offering Cd’s, games and dvd’s. There is also a photography and computer department offering both asscosseries and the actual machines(laptops computers etc) They also have a full range of kitchen goods ranging from the smart price items right uo to the top of the range Le Curset. Additionally, there is a large electrical department with a bank of T. V’s. The top floor is quite well laid out and offers a large range of goods. It is a good use of the space and somewhere I enjoy shopping in. However, downstairs can be a diferent matter. It is often cluttered and difficult to find items. The deli is good with a wide range and helpful staff as is the pizza counter. They carry a wide range of fruit and veg all at very good prices. There are always lots of beautiful flowers often widh very good reductions. The book section is excellent although the newspapers & magazine section is often untidy and unappealing. The bakery section is excellent with very helpful staff and a good range. The overall impression of the store is good although it can be untidy it is always clean. Another area where ASDA has the edge over Tesco is that the home shoppers don’t have the monster trolly things that tescos do! I would personaly avoid hte instore pharmacy as even if there are no customers waiting you are always told to come back in 10 minutes(and then the perscription is often not ready anyway!) There is an opticians instore as well. ASDA very stupidly got rid of the really nice café and replaced it with a Macdonalds. Finally the self service tills. ARRRGGGHH Often they don’t work and some of the help staff are anything but(do’t try to go through the self serve till with a reduced item-you will get the tutting treatment or told off for trying to do so!) The checkouts vary wildly overall they are ok.
