While having a look around Manchester Airport, I decided to come to Caffe Nero for something to eat, the sad thing for me is out of all 3 terminals, in the arrivals section the only place coeliacs like me can go on their search for gluten free food is a coffee shop. I was lucky to bag the last gluten free sandwich, after an hour getting to the airport, 20 minutes walking, over an hour back, I needed something to eat. My sandwich however was not very nice, all the salad which I am normally a fan of didn’t impress me quality wise and the same with the genius ham and roll. The baristas didn’t seem friendly as such, they didn’t stand out for being horrible and arrogant either however. They do have quite a big selection of food, even soup, some soup is gluten free but that was the last of my cravings. I ordered a Caramellatte speciality drink, which has cream and caramel on top, my cup was very sticky from the caramel drizzle which was a little dissapointing as it could easily be avoided. The cream did taste very nice and good quality and I also enjoyed the caramel drizzle. My coffee was quite nice, I would of prefered for an option for size rather than just one choice, I’m not complaining that it was a big portion however! They is a board so you can check your planes progress and gate if you are catching a flight. They did also have a gluten free coconut bar and brownie, and a good selection of them. It looked like they had just got a complete new set of food and especially sandwiches delivered in, on the day of my visit. Terminal 3 is the worst of all terminals but today in Caffe Nero, it might had just saved my stomach, providing me with the food I need until I can cook something myself when I get home. The coffee was nice and they did have gluten free food so I am going to give a very generous 3 stars because they was nowhere else to go however if they was other gluten free places avaliable for me in other Manchester Airport arrival terminals, it would be a two.
